(Alex's POV)

We had gotten to where they were staying which is a run down store. Kenny spoke up after a few minutes. "It's not much but it's home for now" I shrug as I walk over and sit on the floor.

I've been wondering about what has happened and what will become of me when Rosemary's talking pulls me out of my thoughts. "So, how exactly have you survived this long?" Once again, I shrug as I play with the cuffs of my jeans.

She sighs as she walks out for something, leaving Kenny and I. I keep thinking about if I should tell them about being bit. 'It's been two weeks, most people turn by now. Maybe I'm a special case. I don't know anymore'

Rosemary returns with a gun and hands it to me. I raise a brow at her as I take it. "I'm surprised you've been alive this long. But your gonna need that." I hear some shuffling outside. I glance out one of the windows, trying to find the source of the sound.

There were more people. One was... punching zombies? I don't even want to know. The other was collecting supplies. "Huh, didn't expect this many survivors in one area." Rosemary looked out to the streets as I said that.

Kenny dragged me behind the counter as the people got closer to where we were. We crouched down, trying not to be seen. I glanced over the counter trying to get a better look at the people.

One looked normal, human. The other had his face decaying, but mainly intact. One of them glanced over at us as I quickly ducked down. 'The one punching zombies is just like me!' I thought as I glanced at them again.

I snuck away from the counter towards one of the shelf's. My shuffling crept to a stop as the door opened and the two boys walked in. "Ok Victor, you watch the door and make sure no zombies get in. I'll get supplies."

With that, the shorter of the two walked around, looking through the shelves for anything of use. Kenny tried to grab a handgun off the counter but instead hit the bell. Victor quickly snapped his head in their direction.

He glared at the counter then got the others attention. "Hey Max, I think there is someone else here with us." Max nodded as he slowly approached the counter, gun raised. I panicked and quickly threw a can at Max, hitting his gun out of his hand.

I shrunk back behind the shelf as Max walked towards me after picking his gun up. He rounded the corner, aiming for whoever threw the can but I already ran to another isle. I grabbed a metal bat and crept up behind him.

Before I could swing, his friend tackled me. We were about the same height, me being a bit taller. Rosemary ran over to us and kicked Victor off of me, quickly pulling me up and running off with me in tow.

A few curse words escaped the boys mouths as we ran, gunshots ringing out from behind us but none towards us. Kenny had all of their stuff together in their bag as we all ran out the back door of the store.

Some more running and yelling. I could make out the words of them telling us to stop running. Kenny skidded to a stop in front of Rosemary and I. "What's the hold up Kenny?"

Rosemary sounded a bit panicked, glancing at the boys behind us. "Would ya rather deal with the zombies or them?" I stared at all the zombies in front of us, at least 50.

Kenny lets out a heavy sigh. "I'm the only one who wouldn't get attacked by zombies, but i'm not gonna leave you two.". I raise a brow. "Zombies don't notice you either?" Kenny gave me a surprised look.

Rosemary shook us both. "You two can play twenty-one questions later, right now there are more pressing matters!" The noise from the boys caught the hoards attention as they shuffled towards us all.

"You idiots, run!" I yell as the three of us run, the new guys right behind us. Kenny and I made sure Rosemary and that Max boy we're hidden and couldn't be noticed as Kenny, tall boy Victor and I were surrounded by zombies.

Yet none of them bat an eye at us. The entire hoard kept walking around us. The three of us sat on a bench as we watched the zombies pass by. As soon as the hoard was gone Rosemary and Max were out of hiding.

Max rubbed the back of his head nervously. "Sorry for scarin you an trying to attack." Rosemary shrugged as she picked up her flamethrower. "Eh it happens, plus at least you didn't shoot us." Kenny nodded along.

"My name is Max, and that crazy is Victor." Victor had walked over and started punching a zombie. "Yeah I picked that up when you two were talkin to each other." I glanced at Victor as I talked to Max.

'And just when I thought this was the end of the craziness.' I let out a heavy sigh as Victor talks about a bomb. Little did I know, the craziness was just getting started.
