Crepe sat in the cell thinking. Espresso hasn't came back since the first meeting two days ago. The silence was deafing. They were used to the sound of bots scurrying around them. The sound of gears and the smell of vanilla filling his nose. The absence of the wafflebot arms they used to hold themselves. So many things they were used to was gone. They probably wouldn't be able to even get close to a wafflebot in who knows how long but maybe if they listen they'd at least get their arms back.

Minutes turned into hours and Crepe was alone. They thought of the memories they had with Dark Enchatress. She found them alone and offered them a place for the price of obedience. A small price. She wanted them to protect the castle and who was they to say no. She gave them a family. She introduced them to Red Velvet. They remember pulling the cookies ingredients up and over 39% of the cookie was cake hound. Red Velvet took care of them unconditionally. They were regularly visited by him and they allowed him to have a few of his hounds live in the abandoned castle. The cake hounds were so nice to them too. They miss it. They wonder what happened to the cake hounds from time to time. If Black Raisin was telling the truth and Red Velvet was captured then where was Chiffon.

Chiffon was Velvet's personal pet. The dog was the runt of its litter and was bullied by the other pups until Velvet took it in. The dog was pampered by Velvet, and Crepe but they would never admit that, so the dog is nice but it wouldn't survive on its own. They hope someone is watching it.

They remember hanging out and comparing their bots with Licorice's minions, Dressing up with Pomegranate, Training with Dark Choco and playing pranks with Poison Mushroom. They miss their family but there wasn't only good times.

They remembered being thrown into a closet by Pomegranate when they failed to get an artifact she wanted to give to Enchantress or when Poison Mushroom almost killed them with poison when Crepe stepped on one of their 'shroomies'. They remember Licorice throwing a glass cup at their head when he came back after losing in a fight. They still remember waking up to Red Velvet patching them up in silence. They never spoke about it. They still have the scar underneath their bangs.

This was nothing to the punishments Enchantress came up with. They were handcuffed to a fence outside for a entire night when they spoke back once. She would hit them if they messed up or if the wafflebots were too slow. They just got used to it. It was normal to be punished if you mess up after all. That's how you learn to not mess up again. There were good and bad days but when they think back they start the realize the scarcity of good days.

Enchantress wasn't the best to them but she didn't abandon them and that's more than everyone else. They remember asking why she punished them so much and her answer made them not bring it up.

"It's because I care about you that I do this. It's because I want you to turn out the best that you can that I go to such harsh extremes." Her sugar coated words were what they desperately wanted to hear. They wanted to know that she cared and now that she said that they didn't mind being punished. It still hurt but they deserved it.

Red Velvet started to get more protective of Crepe when they expressed their feelings of happiness about the matter. He began to take them to the tower more often under the disguise of business. There was never any business.

Velvet began to distance himself from the others and Crepe went with him. The pair still did whatever was asked but neither stayed at the head quarters for too long. They both went to their own areas. The next time and last time Enchantress visited it was just before Gingerbrave showed up. She demanded them to defend her with their life and they simply nodded.

They tried their best but was horribly defeated. Battered and Bruised, They resorted to cheap tricks and resorted to a rigged coin toss match when black raisin showed up. The crows stole the coin and they lost. They threw a fit and when they were worn out from that they decided to flee to the Cake Tower. Red Velvet would be there for them. He always was.

Long story short, they were captured while in the middle of escaping and is now in the current situation. Prison.

The interaction with Espresso was a change from their normal interactions. There was more honestly. They felt weird. They felt comforted for the first in a long time.

The cookie didn't have any ulterior motives. He didn't care about Crepe being to demanding. He didn't punish them when they got defensive. The cookie laid the deal out on the table and, for the first time, Crepe had a choice.

They ran their hand through their hair and groaned. Who was they joking? This was a choice. They didn't get to decide. Their choice was either remained locked up in this hell or go with him and get the chance to see Velvet.

The thought if they agreed to reprogram the bots then maybe they be allowed to go to their wafflebot lab and live in peace but now? They weren't sure. They didn't want a new family but they didn't want to be alone again. The pure vanilla kingdom was quiet too once you get used to it.

They rolled over on their rock like bed. The sun had been gone for a while now and their body did feel tired. They stretched their arms above their head and yawned. Although they didn't like the situation they hoped that Espresso didn't forget about them too like everyone else did. Espresso gave them hope that they could change. They had hope that someone wanted them without any purpose. They had hope in seeing Velvet again. Maybe Velvet could be given a chance too and they would be able to live in the light for a change. The cake hounds would be able to live without being hunted and wouldn't go hungry.

They had hope for a better future but they also had a pit in the bottom of their stomach. They would be betraying the other cookies of darkness and they doubt the others would let it go.

It wasn't long after that until Crepe was asleep.
