[present day]
In the soft glow of twilight, an old man called Dargen let out a deep sigh, his mind wandering back to a moment seventeen years prior-a moment that had irrevocably changed his life. He had stumbled upon a child, alone and in need. "How swiftly time escapes us," he murmured, lost in the memories of that fateful encounter. The words of the enigmatic stranger who had entrusted the child to him echoed in his mind: "Guard him diligently, for he is the harbinger of a new dawn..."
Lost in contemplation, Gramps' reverie was abruptly shattered by a voice, youthful and exuberant, cascading down the hill. "Gramps! Gramps!" It was Aideus, his charge, bounding towards him with the boundless energy of youth.
Turning, a gentle smile played upon Gramps' lips at the sight of Aideus. "Ah, Aideus, my boy..."
Gasping for breath, Aideus shared his news with a mixture of excitement and anticipation. "Gramps, tomorrow's the day-the Sapien Knights are looking for new recruits."
Interest piqued, Gramps raised an inquisitive brow. "Is that so?"
With fervor, Aideus nodded. "Yes! And... I want to join them."
A moment of hesitation washed over Gramps as he faced the inevitability of letting Aideus pursue his destiny. With a smile tinged with nostalgia, he consented, "Then, go you shall."
Elated, Aideus's gratitude knew no bounds. They retreated indoors, preparing for the morrow, while Gramps pondered the adventures that awaited Aideus.
Dawn broke with Aideus brimming with an eagerness that roused even the sun. "Good morning, Gramps!" he declared, a whirlwind of excitement.
Gramps, amused by his enthusiasm, counseled moderation. "Easy there, lad..."
But Aideus's spirit was indomitable. "I can't wait! I'll become a knight, surpassing even you and Dad. I'll be the finest the world has ever seen!"
Pride swelled in Gramps' heart. "Pack your things, then. A long journey awaits you."
Preparations were swift, and Aideus stood ready to depart. Yet, Gramps had one more treasure to bestow. Revealing a covered object, he presented Aideus with a spear of extraordinary make-the 'Infinite Spear,' a legacy from Aideus's father, imbued with mystery and promise.
Aideus, awestruck by the spear's uniqueness, grasped its significance and the strength it symbolized.
As Aideus made for the door, Gramps' voice halted him once more. With a playful cuff, Gramps imparted a final piece of advice, a reminder of the lessons of youth and a caution against the folly of recklessness.
Rubbing his head, Aideus bore the sting with a mixture of irritation and affection. With a heart full of dreams and a spirit unbridled, he set off towards the Sapien Kingdom, his aspirations as vast as the horizon.
Yet, as he journeyed forward, the mysteries of his destiny and the trials of his path unfurled before him, a testament to the adventure that lay in the heart of becoming the greatest knight the world would ever know.
