The first week of college was quiet. Max and Victoria were introduced with their professors and the lessons they would be taking for the first semester. Lucas was their first friend in their class which the girls liked a lot because of his easy-going personality. He was a nice and knowledgeable boy with a sense of humor.

It was lunch time when Max, Victoria and Lucas had their break from class.
"I'm gonna see my friends at the cafeteria. You girls coming?" - the boy asked.
"Yes, of course. I'd love to meet your friends. What do you say Max?"
"Sure, I'm okay, too." - Max smiled a little before taking the stairs along with her friends.

The cafeteria was full, all the tables taken by students who were studying or hanging around with their friends. For the friends luck, Lucas' friends had picked a table. The boy who was sitting there raised his hand up, waving at Lucas. Waving at him back, Lucas signaled the girls to follow him and walked towards the table.
"So, girls, these are my best friends: Will and Jane." - Lucas introduced and then turned to his friends. - "This is Max and Vic, guys. We're in the same field."
"Hey, nice to meet you both." - Will shook both their hands with a sweet smile.
"Hello, too." - Jane greeted quietly.
The three friends sat on the cafeteria's table. It could be seen quite clearly that the atmosphere where all of them were in was quiet and shy to have a conversation started. But Vic made the first step:
"So, how've your days been so far?"
"Well, good let's say... I don't know yet. Personally speaking." - Will stated.
"The fun hasn't started yet, you know. I can't wait for the parties, we need that wild spirit around here." - Vic excitedly gushed.
"Yes, I'm with you at this point!" - Lucas approved, as excited as her.
"How's it going doing art?" - Vic asked as she noticed the brunette girl sitting next to her, drawing something in silence.
"Huh? Oh... it's not art." - Jane giggled a little.
  "What are you drawing, then?"
"Maybe I'll tell you next time."
"Okay, that's making me curious now."
"Jane is very talented, she's so creative." - Lucas complimented his friend.
"Don't start now." - the brunette girl jokingly said.
  "Am I lying?"
  "Hm... maybe."
"Oh, by the way," - Will started saying, his attention on Victoria. - "I heard there'll be some kind of opening season party here."
"Really? When?" - the latina girl's face lightened.
  "On Friday. If I'm correct."
"Nice! Y'all ready to have some fun on Friday, huh?"
"I'm always down." - Lucas nodded.
"You're coming, I don't want buts." - Will told his sister before she could react.
"Why? Your'e not a fan of parties?" - Vic was shocked.
"Sometimes. If the party is interesting I stay."
"Parties are always interesting. You coming too Max, right?!"
  "Yes, I'm down, too."

After the lunch break was over, Max, Victoria and Lucas walked upstairs to their next class, leaving Jane and Will go to another direction.

The day was finally over. Max was sat on her desk working on her homework, Vic doing the same on her bed. Suddenly a knock on the door was heard. Max made a movement with her hand to tell Vic not to get up, and walked lazily to the door.
"Um, hello?" - Max confusedly greeted the strange boy standing on the doorframe.
"Oh, hello?! I was expecting to see someone else, actually." - the boy said with wrinkled eyebrows.
  "Who are you looking for?"
"I'm looking for, um, Steven or Steve, I don't really remember his name. But he told me he stays in this cabin and I thought this was his room. Do you know which dorm he stays, I need to give him back his book."
"No, I don't really know this guy. He probably stays in the next cabin as I haven't heard about this Steven or Steve guy in here."
"Oh, I'm probably mistaken." - the boy nervously rubbed his neck. - "By the way, I'm Eric." - he pulled out his hand.
"I'm Max." - the redhead shook gently Eric's hand.
"I'm two floors above your room."
"Oh, that's nice. Well, it was nice to meet you, Eric. But now I need to get going, I haven't finished my homework yet and I'm already sleepy."
"Oh, yes, sorry for taking your time. I'm leaving you do your homework, then. See you around." - he half waved before awkwardly leaving from there.
"What took you so long with that guy?" - Vic asked.
"He probably needed someone to talk to, but I don't have that energy right now."
"I'm gonna get to sleep, though. You show me what you did tomorrow, okay?"
Max softly chuckled and gave her roommate a nod before turning back to her work, leaving her friend rest.
