Atlas eventually convinced Willy to visit his father, and the two made amends. Willy made sure that the ones that had previously abused him were arrested, or at least ostracized from their community. Willy also had one of the Oompa-Loompas check out Atlas, and Atlas was kept from him for a few weeks, which drove him slightly insane. Atlas slept most of the time, recovering and building up energy.

When Atlas was finally allowed to move about, Willy and him had a blast running the Chocolate Factory, and they were each other's constant companions. Willy taught Atlas a great number of things, and Atlas gladly absorbed the information like a sponge. He loved exploring and re-exploring the chocolate factory, committing every detail to memory. The Oompa-Loompas never tired of his company, and rarely was Atlas ever alone anymore.

He was finally home.
