I bolted. I bolted for 2 minutes straight. I was determined to find Hazmat. How could I not be? A person, well, kinda a person, that wasn't...natural. And, he didn't kill me. He spared me. That could be something bigger. Maybe he could help. I bolted until I grew exhausted. My lungs flared and my legs throbbed in pain. I practically flew to the ground in a heap of sweat. I panted as I stayed on the ground. That's when I finally took in my surroundings. I stared at the silver skyscrapers as they towered over my practically lifeless body. I marveled at the marble statues, and the futuristic gadgets that surrounded me. People using jetpacks, or flying cars, or how the skyscrapers were each taller than mount everest. Or how the planes practically zoomed by like shooting stars. I couldn't help but smile. Despite my tired and exhausted state, I smiled. With what little strength I had, I pushed my way up. I stood in shock for 5 seconds. I was standing on a metal sidewalk.Metal. Except...the metal was....rusted. Extremely rusted. I stared in horror. "I was laying on that!?" I said to myself. I searched around for anybody who could help me. Yet, everybody seemed to be occupied. I walked around, impatiently searching. Then I remembered. Bane was gone. "BANE!?!?!" I yelled. Immediately, faces shot at my direction. People were snickering, some were mad, some were shouting at me to cram it. I looked around again. Bane wasn't with me anymore. Our codes linked us. It was impossible that he was gone. Then, I noticed glowing red numbers on my right arm. I stared in horror. 3776. My code had been changed. "Wha-wha-what?" I asked, confused. I couldn't believe my eyes. If my number was changed....Bane was.... Bane was gone. I continued to stare helplessly. Had Hazmat changed it, or was it AHS, or did I even do something? One lesson this trip has taught me, is that thinking in a state of panic is almost impossible. My body shivered, my legs wobbled, my eyes watered, my brain exploded. I was sad, scared, angry, confused. I just wanted to crawl up into a ditch for eternity. I couldn't think of a reasonable answer. all I could think of, was that my life was ruined. Without Bane, how could I survive? but ultimately, I sighed, and carried on. I couldn't control this outcome. It was inevitable. I realized my clothing had been changed too. I'm starting to notice that I have been very slow today. Mentally, not physically. I wore khaki shorts with a red and blue tie dye short sleeved shirt. My head was protected my an oversized beanie that gleamed a royal blue color. As I walked, with no destination, a man approached me. This man was my height. He wore a fancy tuxedo and a generic black top hat. His skin was pale as snow, and he looked dressed for a wedding. "excuse me" He said in an upbeat tone. "But are you new here by any chance?" "No." I lied. "Why's it matter to you?" The man chuckled. "Now, this town keeps a list of every last citizen in this citizen order to become a citizen of our city however, one must live here for at least 4 days." He explained. I stared in confusion. "Isn't keeping a list of every last person a bit extra?" I asked. the man gasped in an offended tone. "Goodness no! It's tradition. And it has been for 3,899 years!" He countered. He scoffed. "So, newcomer, you cannot be wandering these streets freely if you aren't a citizen!". I stared in annoyance. "How the hell do I become a citizen if I can't even walk outside?" I asked. I didn't expect an answer. A reasonable one at least. "You stay indoors, duh!" The man told me, as if I was the biggest doofus on planet earth. "That's stupid!" I yelled. The man flinched. "Well, if you don't like it, then leave!" He said, trying to make himself sound superior. I glared at him. "And go where, huh?" I countered. The man gritted his teeth. "You think you're all that, huh?" He questioned. I shrugged. "I don't care about that,ok?! I am lost, and you're pissing me off!" I screamed. I stomped away before he could say another stupid comment. "Get lost, twerp!" He yelled behind me. I showed him my middle finger and looked away. I didn't look back. People glared at me as I walked past. Seems they heard the whole thing. I honestly didn't care. Bane was gone, I was lost, and I was pissed. I couldn't turn to him for comfort anymore. I couldn't hug him out of joy. He wasn't here to show me the bright side of things. Without him, my body ached. How could I survive without anybody by my side? Was this some punishment? Some quest? Some way of showing me the middle finger? I didn't know. I couldn't tell. Suddenly, a buzzing noise erupted from the sky. Everybody looked up,startled. Including me. "what was that!?" A woman yelled. Nobody answered. Because we didn't have an answer. I stared at the sky. Nothing seemed weird. Except there was a tray of clouds. Dark, Gloomy clouds. 'Seems like rain" I told myself. The buzzing noise exploded again, this time it was so loud that my ears practically erupted. My ears ached in agony. My body trembled. Vibrations soured across the ground, causing people to tumble onto the ground. The skyscrapers quivered in fear. "What is happening!?" I asked myself again. My body ached and ached, and it wasn't getting better. The sound continued to burst my eardrums. People began screaming in panic. And just like that, the skyscrapers started to fall. Chaos began as millions of skyscrapers tumbled down, killing everybody inside, or even near them. They were so tall, that each on would cover 40 entire streets when they fell. I stared in horror as they fell around me. And soon, a building came crashing my way. I stared at my death as the building fell and fell and-
