When I eventually arrived at my new location, I realized how endangered I truly was. The scenario just suddenly gloomed over me. AHS wanted me and Bane dead, not anybody else. I mean, it could possibly be other people. The truth is, I couldn't trust anybody. Not even Bane. His kindness could just be an illusion. A form of trying to pull me in. I figured i'd better be alert. Me and Bane were at a campsite in a small town located in Virginia. It was called Abingdon. Bane was next to me as we warmed up in the blazing fire. The fire seemed to slowly dim out. Thankfully, it could probably still last us a while. "Bane" I mumbled. Bane looked to me,startled. 'Y-yeah?" He asked. I sighed. I dreaded asking this question, but I had to. "Do you think we have, maybe, some sort of mission to complete?" I asked. Bane nodded. "Well, of course! The AHS probably just wants us to do their dirty work. Maybe it's because if they told us, they knew we would resist." Bane theorized. I nodded. I mean, if I was told to travel through time with a 99.9% chance of death just to do the AHS's hard work, I would resist and probably quit my job. I smiled to bane. "You know, why'd you decide to work here anyway?" I asked. Bane seemed to grow sadder. "Well, I joined in my younger teenage years, when I didn't think straight. I wanted an opportunity for fame" Bane explained. He chuckled to himself. "Never realized what I was getting into.." He began to smile softly. "How about you?" Bane asked. My mind went blank. My comforting smile turned into a depressed and cold frown. Bane saw this. 'it's fine. You can keep it to yourself" Bane assured. I nodded quickly. "Thanks." I said. Bane nodded. We sat in silence and stared at the burning flames. "Alright kids" An old sounding voice started. "Y'all better come to the bunkers now" it explained. The voice came from an old man who was rocking a fancy tuxedo, top hat, and mono black pants and leather shoes. His skin was an albino white, along with his hair. "So, you coming?" he asked again. Me and Bane shook our heads. "We don't like heading with strangers" Bane explained. The old man scoffed in surprise. "Why, we gave you that campsite! It's only for a night". I realized that it was night, which meant soon we would teleport again. "No thank you, oldie" I said sternly. The man glared at me. "It's George to you, sir" The man warned. "I've got a gun license just to deal with kids like yall, so yall better watch it!" the man warned. Me and Bane stared in shock. "You really think that we should believe that a 70 year old like you could handle a gun?" I gloated. The man glared at me more.Bane stammered. "t-tyler! I-Im so sorry! P-plea-" "Don't open your mouth, sweety! The one who should be begging is him" He said as he pointed at me. I chuckled, and Bane now also glared at me. 'Tyler" He whispered to me. 'You are an idiot!". The man waited for me to beg. I rolled my eyes. "Don't try anything man. We're armed" I lied. Suddenly, the man's eyes widened. "YOU CAME TO OUR TOWN ARMED!?!?!" The man yelled. Bane practically punched me in anger. "NO NO NO! HE'S BLUFFING,I PROMISE!!" Bane pleaded. The man ran towards his house. I knew he was getting his weapon. "We have to run!" I told Bane. "Yeah! Thanks to you!" he shouted. We grabbed our bags and ran. Shortly after we started running, guns fired. And multiple guns fired. "GET'EM!" The man yelled. I heard rumbling and fast paced footsteps. "I'm sorry Bane!" I said. He glared at me. "Tyler, if we come out of this alive, I'm killing you" He warned. A stick of dynamite flew ahead of us. He flew away from it before it detonated. Thankfully, only my ears were damaged. Me and Bane kept our pace as we ran. "Bane, please tell me you don't hate me!" I said. "Of course I don't!" He said. "It's impossible for me to hate you! You're amazing!". I blushed. "Really!?" I asked. He nodded, also blushing. "You're truly amazing!" He told me again. Another stick of dynamite soared above us. He ran out the way again, this time covering our ears. "Bane, you really think that of me?" I asked. He nodded. "I mean, why would I talk to you, and try my best to save your life multiple times?" He pointed out. "I thought it was just because we were partners. You know, our codes?" I said. He rolled his eyes. "Well, the truth is, I honestly think we're connected with more than our numbers" He said. We stared at each other and smiled. "Yeah. Maybe this was meant to be" I said. He chuckled. Another piece of dynamite flew, this time striking my back. I flew forward in a blaze, leaving Bane behind. As I soared through the air, I lost consciousness and passed out.
