Across Aeliana's Village

Chapter 4- Hand Shaken Deal

Rosa woke up 12a.m.

She got up and went to her backyard then pulled out her rock.

"Take me to Aeliana's Village."

She then threw it to the ground. Grey slime slithered and overwhelmed Rosa.

Within the instant she was unconscious and woke up in the same place. She ran past the gates.

"So quick Rosa. What's the hurry?"

It was Lez

"I need to see Aeliana! Can you help me get to her quickly?"

Lez grabbed Rosa by the arm and led her past the staring eyes of the people. As Rosa was looking she tripped onto a small pebble and went sliding down the path to the house of where Aeliana lived. As Rosa got back up, she realised that she didn't have any scratches. Weird. Back at home, her leg would've been bleeding nonstop.

Then Aeliana came out.

"What's the hurry?"

"Aeliana! I need you to do me a favour. Please."

"Alright. But what's the matter Rosa. What's all this pleading for?" Aeliana asked and she put her hand onto Rosa's shoulder and looked her into the eyes.

"Listen. It’s your entire fault that I now have a fate!"

"Excuse me?" Aeliana was confused.

"The words you told me. About my enemy that's beneath my skin."

"Oh that. That's nothing. It’s just a saying."

"ITS NOT! Grandmother Estra predicted a fate for me-"

"Estra died many years ago." Lez cut out and Rosa looked at her shocked.

"But.....but.....but Estra is my grandmothers name. She gave me this rock.

Lez and Aeliana exchanged each other a look.

"What are you two hiding?"

"Nothing Rosa, am I not right Lez?"

"Yes, there's nothing wrong. We're not hiding anything."

Rosa shook her head and looked at Aeliana.

"Can you help me?"

"Yes, what's the matter?"

"My friends are known to be my fate. Can you stop it?"

Aeliana laughed and so did Lez.

"Smarty pants. It’s your fate. We have nothing to do with it. Besides its your decision of how your fate happens. You can change it, you can stop it and you can give it a whole different scene. We have nothing to do with your decisions."

Rosa looked at Aeliana in the eyes.

"But Aeliana-"

"Enough Rosa. We can't change your fate." Lez growled.

"Yes you can. I know you can. If you don't at least help me, I won't help you destroy your enemy."

Lez and Aeliana looked at each other and back at Rosa.

"Sweet heart. You know-" Aeliana was cut off.

"I know what?! You either help me in my world, my problems or you're stuck with no one to save your village."

Aeliana looked at Lez.

"Okay. I do have power but it’s not strong enough to stop your fate. And since Estra predicted it, its our duty to accept it."

"What?"

Rosa was confused. Since when was her grandmother so highly respected like this.

As if Aeliana read her mind, an answer came.

"You could ask her. She'll tell you if only you have patience."

A tear ran down Rosa's eye but she swallowed it back in.

"Stuff you all! You're not going to get any help from me! NEVER!"

Rosa started to run but a force pushed her back and she landed at Aeliana's feet.

"Fine. We'll help. But you have to keep it secret and not tell Estra. Okay?"

"Okay."

Lez lifted Rosa up to her feet and Aeliana put out her hand.

"What?" Rosa was confused.

"Hand shake. As a deal."

"Right."

Rosa shook the hands of Aeliana and the deal was made.

Rosa came back from school, tired and exhausted. She went upstairs to the bathroom and showered. As she got out and went to her bedroom, she realised that her grandmother wasn't at home. But she didn't care and she jumped onto the bed and fell asleep.

A body came out from under the bed and up next to Rosa. The hand slowly dug into her pocket and pulled out the rock. Rosa slowly started to stir.....

"Sleep my darling, sleep...."

Rosa quickly fell back to sleep and the old wrinkly hands held the rock high making sure it was the right one.

The person then went out of the room and down the stairs. Not making a single noise and went outside into the backyard.

"Well rock. Miss me? Its been hundreds of years since I haven't visited you. Can you imagine the power I still hold inside of me. I kind of miss using it but I heard you made a deal Aeliana. I wonder what it was...”

The old hand threw the rock onto the ground and was teleported to the village.

The person went through the gates, past Lez's shocked face and the shocked faces of the people.

"Aeliana. Come out where ever you are."

Aeliana came out of the house and was greeted with a slap across the face. She looked up and her mouth went wide open.

"You're, you're alive?"

"In fact I am. Didn't you know that I am immortal?"

"No, I didn't." Aeliana touched the face of the old lady and hugged her.

"I missed you so much sister. Where have you been all this time? Why didn't you return and tell us that you were immortal in the real life like here in this village."

"Well, this village has been standing on its feet for more than hundreds of years. Since it was ever first made by the most powerful lest wizards of all time. It's been through ups and downs. But I never knew I would grab hold of it and enter another world of reality and still am immortal."

Aeliana looked at her sister.

"So, Aeliana. What was this deal you made with Rosa? To stop her fate? You know that fate has been predicted and why fight it?"

"Um, well you have to understand--"

"UNDERSTAND WHAT AELIANA?"

"That we need our village to be saved and only Rosa can save it. I know I shouldn't say this but our power is finished. Rosa will slowly understand and learn how to use her own powers. She after all is one of us. Is she not?"

"Yes Aeliana she is. Soon she will know the truth. I Estra will promise you, my sister, that this village will be in peace, forever."

"But that will be a day of time. Will it not Estra?"

"Yes Aeliana. We will have to not defeat the enemy, but destroy the enemy. Once and for all."

Once and for all.
