tw: traumatic childhood talks, basically Malfoy's being a shit to Draco </3

"Hey beautiful," Harry leaned across the counter to kiss Draco. "Hey handsome."

"Can I have a latte?" Harry bit his lip.

"Only if I have your number first." Draco winked and Harry laughed.

"Oi! No snogging or flirting or snogging until closing time." Pansy pointed a bar cloth at them threateningly.

"Shush, Pansy." Draco glared at her, "He needs luck for his interview." He said, filling up a cup of coffee for his boyfriend.

"Interview? What interview?" She asked.

"For college." Draco smiled proudly, "My Harry is going to college." Harry blushed and took the coffee cup.

"That's great, Harry!" She smiled, "Good luck!"

"Thank you, Pansy." He mirrored her expression, "I'll see you later then, Draco?" He asked. "Of course." Draco squeezed his hand. "Do you want me to join you?"

"No, thank you," Harry shook his head fondly, "I'll be fine." He passed one last encouraging smile before leaving through the door. Draco looked fondly at him.

Pansy elbowed him in the ribs, "You're so whipped." Draco shoved her but didn't deny it.

"Have you told him about your family?" Pansy asked as the rest of the staff filed out with faint goodbyes.

Draco cleaned the floor with a mop, "No." He sighed, "I know I should, he tells me everything and he deserves to know the truth about my family."

His family, mainly consisted of his parents and wacky aunt. His father, the owner of Malfoy Corp. had wanted Draco to take over the company as soon as he was finished with college.

Draco had other plans, he always dreamt of opening a cafe, a cozy and welcoming cafe where people would find happiness and comfort, something he had lacked during his childhood.

"It's okay, take your time in telling him. I'm sure he won't be mad at you." She smiled wryly.

"Yeah, I know."

His mother wasn't any better either, she would push him to his limits as a student. She made him learn everything, striving for him to be the best alongside her sister.

His aunt, who always seemed to be a constant visitor of jail always criticed whatever he did.

He was mentally tortured by the three, always making him feel insecure. He felt like he wasn't good enough,

When Draco had come out as queer after he graduated from school, his father was outraged and refused to accept him. His aunt screamed at him and his mother hid her face in disgust.

Draco ran away from home with the aid of Pansy, he begun a new life with his bank account. He bought an apartment, did small jobs and then finally after two years, opened his own cafe with all his hark work. He didn't care anymore what others thought about him, if he wanted to flaunt his queerness then he would, if he wanted to wear a skirt then he would.

The fear of disappointing his family was no longer there, he was free as a bird.

Telling Harry about his past was very difficult, he could feel every single upsetting emotion bubbling up his chest. His voice cracked and his eyes burred with tears and he cried into his arms.

Harry just cradled his head and held him tightly, whispering encouragements into his ear, soothing him.

Draco felt happier than he had ever in years.

That night, the two bonded over their fucked up childhoods. Harry told him about his life with the Dursleys and Draco about his life with his so-called family.
