Lisa woke up on the floor still holding Jennie's hand. Her entire body ached from the drinking and the way she had slept but she regretted nothing as she felt Jennie's small hand still holding her own. It was soft and delicate and it gave her a rush that shot straight to her heart. She lifted herself up to look at her, not letting go. Lisa didn't remember falling asleep. She was surprised she even did considering the position she had been in. She was even more shocked Jennie's grip had never slacked. She held her hand the entire night.
Lisa didn't want to let go of Jennie's hand yet so she moved as slow as she could when she sat up, trying not to move the hand Jennie was holding too much so she wouldn't wake Jennie up. She rested her chin up over her free hand, laying it on the couch as she watched Jennie sleep instead.
Lisa observed as much as she could, tracing her eyes over Jennie, trying to take as much as she could in. Memorizing all her features while she had the chance. She'd never been this close before.
She moved their joined hands as slowly as she could to rest them on the couch together. Lisa gave Jennie's hand the lightest kiss she could before laying it down. She allowed herself that much. At least just once she could brush her lips over Jennie's skin. She would never get to do it again.
Lisa gripped Jennie's hand tighter when she set it down on the couch next to her face, squeezing it a bit as she felt Jennie's fingers in between her own.
Lisa looked at their joined hands, observing them, her chin still on the couch. They just fit. Jennie's fingers fit perfectly in between Lisa's.
Lisa started using her thumb to caress Jennie's hand then.
She heard a satisfied hum escape Jennie and she almost let go just because she didn't want to scare her. She didn't want her waking up and seeing Lisa was holding her hand and watching her like a creep.
She shouldn't have worried about Jennie catching her as much as she should have for her friends.
She had completely forgotten they were still there.
She heard the door open to Jennie's bedroom and almost jumped out of her skin. She let go of Jennie and hit the back of her head on the table in her haste to move away, not wanting to be caught.
Her best friend was the one that walked out of the room and the look she was giving Lisa made her feel entirely too exposed. She didn't like that.
Chaeyoung walked to her and sat down on the floor next to her and Lisa felt like sweating. Whatever her best friend was about to say was probably going to be too knowing.
"She's so good for you Lisa," The blonde girl whispered, looking at Jennie.
Lisa felt caught, she looked everywhere except at her best friend, avoiding her. Her best friend was entirely too empathetic to not catch on to Lisa's feelings for Jennie.
"You're almost back and it's all because of her." Chaeyoung said before kissing Lisa's cheek.
The blonde didn't say anything else, she walked to the kitchen to heat up the leftovers for everyone. They had ordered so much food they hardly made a dent in it the day before.
Lisa stared at nowhere for minutes. Reeling from what her best friend said because of course the blonde would catch on to her crush. She stared at a random spot, not really focusing on it as she kept thinking. She was so focused on her thoughts that she didn't even realize that Jennie had woken up.
Jennie didn't remember much past telling Lisa about her dad so she was confused as to why she was on the couch and not her room and why Lisa was currently on the ground.
