"Good morning angel"
"Morning" I say snuggling into Ace's bare chest.
Ace grips my chin lightly so I look up at him. I smile and he smiles back before taking my lips in a warm light kiss.As we pull away he just stares into my eyes and smiles softly.
"You hungry?" he questions and I nod.
"Can you make bacon?" I ask and he smiles.
"You love bacon" he says and I nod against him, "Yeah, whatever you want amore, I'll make some for you in a minute"
"Can I help you make it?" I ask hoping he'll say yes.
He never lets me help him cook. He probably thinks i'll stab him when he's not looking. Maybe i'll try it.
"Yes you can" he says and I smile.
He starts to climb out of bed but I quickly latch onto him so he can't leave. He looks down at me and raises an eyebrow.
"Cuddle me for 5 more minutes" I say and he sighs before getting back into the bed.
"The things I do for you" he says and I giggle.
"You've gone soft"

- Ace passes me the pancake batter and I start to pour a medium size amount into the pan. We're making blueberry pancakes, eggs, and bacon.
Ace is the sweetest guy i've ever met. He's so understanding, caring, calm, and just the best man i've ever met. He's definitely better than any of my exes i've ever had. He's definitely way better than him.
If I never got away and told Mateo about Kai I would still be living with Kai and getting beaten to death almost every fucking day. I'd still be, being forced not to eat anything and feeling like a dog on a leash because I couldn't leave the house.
I haven't seen Kai since last year. Dad tried looking for him to make sure he wasn't on my ass but, it's like he fell off the face of the fucking earth. We've tried anything and everything to see where his ugly ass is but no fucking use.
"Valentina can you flip the pancakes" Ace says snapping me out of my thoughts.
