Black POV
Leaving the bowling alley. I head to my G-wagon and strapped Kairi in and head home. I look at the time and sigh its 11 I know Bernice gon chew my ass out and tbh I'm not ready for it. I pull up to my house and get out. I I get Kairi out and head to the house.
I unlock the door and get in hearing Bernice on the phone complaining yet again. 'I cant believe this nigga had my child around that bitch! She says yelling.
"Ours" I say annoyed. I take Kairi upstairs and get her ready for bed when Bernice come busting in acting a damn fool "Why would you have her out around her" Bernice yells getting all in my face. I mugged her and finished getting Kairi ready for bed. I kissed her goodnight and tucked her in. I smiled this girl really warms my heart up. I head out her room and run right into Bernice.
"What do you want" I say annoyed.
'Why Dave, why didn't you come with me" Bernice said. I looked up and saw her face soften. I sighed and rub my hands over my face.
"I'm sorry ma" I say I pull her close to me and kiss her forehead. "Go get ready for bed Ill be there soon" I say and she nods. I head to my office and sit down at my desk . I start to roll up and grab my phone pulling up Kayla's number. I was decided to hit her up.

I finally made it home and of course its empty once again. I head upstairs and get in the tub to relax. When I hear my phone ding ring seeing its Dave I contemplated on answering his facetime, what if he's with her girl, what if he's acting weird. Oh well I answer him and spark my blunt, once it connects I see him with low eyes and child all my thoughts flew out the window this man is too damn fine.
"Wassup Ms. Kayla" Dave's says
"Hi East" I say
"Its Dave ma ight" he says and I nod
"Ok" I say
"What you doing friendddd" I say while smoking
"In my office , I didn't know you smoked ma" He says
"Well you have gotten to know me" I say in a duhh tone
I hear Bernice yelling his name through the phone and I roll my eyes I knew calling him was a bad idea.
"And why is that ma" he says questioning me.
"Oppp I said that out loud: I say laughing
"Yeah ma now spill" Dave says whispering now
"Sounds like you hiding mister" I say laughing
He smacks his lips "Ian hiding we friends I can have friends ma'am" He says
'Mhhmm alright" I say while setting my phone on the counter and getting in the shower "Hold on"

Dave POV
While Kayla was in the shower I couldn't help but want to get to know her more, she was different she damn sure wasn't like the rest of these hoes she was independent and I like that about her.
"Hello earth to Dave" Kayla says waving in the camera
I smile and admire her beauty. How she does this shit effortlessly. "Wassup ma" I say
"You ok?" She asks
"Yeah ma I'm straight, but real shit I want to know you ma." I said looking at her
"That's fine" she said. "But imma tell you one thing I'm not with this drama shit" she said.
"Ight ma" he said. It was something deep down telling me to get to know her on a deeper level but were going to see how this friends thing go.
