Learning I'm a demigod

Who knew sword fighting could take so much effort?

You know most people think being a demigod is so cool! And going on quests must be awesome!

I couldn't disagree more. My day. Sucked. Skylar is a monster.

First we hit the armory. She suited me
in what she calls the "lightest armor there is." But i call it wearing an elephant.

She didn't give me a helmet. Which freaked me out. She better not stab me in the eye.

The sword and gave me fit perfectly in my hand. It has a black handle and a grey blade. It seems to be as long as a meter. First she showed me how to attack.

I've never had siblings. Until I got here. But I heard they fight a lot. I've seen it. In the stores brothers and sisters hitting each other. I've always felt bad for the younger siblings. They are used like a human dummy bag.

I finally understand what that feels like. Skylar showed me how to attack. Too bad she attacked on me. I feel a sharp pain in my rib cage of where she jabbed at.

This armor sucks. Piece of shit.

After what seems like hours of teaching and being stabbed at. Literally. She lets me take a break.

After about 5 minutes she takes me arm and drags me back to the arena so we could full on spar.

Feeling pissed I take the water from the water bottle and thrust my hand in her direction as water pours all over her.

My eyes widen as i realize what I just did.

She just chuckles and takes her wet hair out of her ponytail.

"I guess sword fighting isn't your favorite subject." She chuckles again. I gap at how casual she's acting.

I guess she noticed my shock. and started to explain, "You know Toby, your half brother. He use to be really close to us and my friends. But I guess something happened to his family and he like became really independent. Everyone stopped trying to be friends with him. He just like became socially awkward."

That is a horrible story... Talk about true friends. Aren't true friends suppose to be there when something happens. My "father" has always been there for me.

"You left him by himself after what happened." I gaped at her.

"Hey he asked us to. He pushed his girlfriend. Literally. Good thing she was a daughter of Ares. Black eye and bruises all over."

I glance up at her.

"Listen it's a long story. And I'm really hungry. Lets go eat." I suggest. Omg yes. We walk together well she walks while I collapse of exhaustion.

"I'm dying can you come bring me food?!?" I ask be desperately. I put my hand on my forehead and stuck out my tongue from the side of my mouth.

"No." She pulls me up and I trudge to the cafeteria with Skylar.

I do my offerings and sit down next to Colby. He smiles at me and I look down back at him. Violet starts talking and I star down at my mashed potatoes.
