Literal Love at First Sight

(A/N: Let me know if you want me to continue. This is basically Naruto's beginning to get the story started. It isn't going to be completely humorous but I will try to add some as I go.)

Naruto Uzumaki eventually grew tired of the way people treated him. Especially his peers who thought themselves above him even though in actuality, his growth was continually sabotaged. The teachers would kick him out of class, mark all of his answers wrong no matter how well he did, teach him wrong katas, and mess with his textbooks and gear. After an entire year at the Academy, Naruto had enough.

When school let out for break, the blonde seven year old decided to put his pranking skills to good use. He snuck into the library that's guarded by one chunin at all times. The young boy already knew how to disable the traps due to being used to breaking in for his pranks. After successfully sneaking in, he decided that he should start from the beginning of the academy and then work his way up.

It took him the entire three months of the summer break, but he managed to read the entire academy section. Of course he knew though that if he showed it in public, things for him would go bad. So he began pretending to be as stupid as they wanted him to be. Now he just needed to train his body to make his knowledge more than theoretical.

He began with stretching, then running laps(10), followed by as many push-ups, sit-ups, squats, crunches, punches, and kicks as he could do. The blonde boy began doing this every day before and after the Academy, adding five each day. He even added chakra control, which he had moved onto while continuing to read the genin and by the end of the school year half-way through the chunin section, as well as fuinjutsu and many E and D-class techniques, which were simply beginners and survival jutsu.

One day, in the middle of the year, while he was going through katas for a taijutsu style he discovered in a dusty corner called Kitsune Fist, which required swift movements and unpredictability as well as enhancing his nails with chakra, turning them into claws, he met one Gai Maito.

Gai ran by the secluded and unused training grounds when he caught sight of the hard working whiskered boy in sweats and a t-shirt, sweat spilling out, causing him to pause and watch. He could tell that the boy had practised the katas rigorously but the Blue Beast of Konoha knew that no matter how well he knew the katas or how smoothly he went through them, experience putting them into practice was needed. When Naruto finished the katas, he decided to turn his attention to his observer. He would've sooner, but he sensed simple curiosity and intrigue from them.

"You can come out now," the blonde called out, turning in the direction he caught the scent. "How youthful of you, catching my presence! Might I ask how?" Gai exclaimed in surprise. This caused Naruto to raise a brow in amusement before answering. "Your scent." he replied. Gai blinked in surprise before snapping out of his shock. "How youthful! By the way my name is Gai Maito, the beautiful Blue Beast of Konoha! Might I know the name of one so youthfully dedicated to their training?!" the bushy-browed man exclaimed while striking a 'nice guy' pose. "Naruto Uzumaki. Now, why were you watching me?"the blonde replied curiously. "I saw your youthful taijutsu practice but I can tell you have not spared against an actual opponent! My youthful student and protégé Rock Lee is a genius of hard work as well! Due to not being able to do jutsu, Lee has been put under my care due to me being a youthful taijutsu expert!" the green-spandex clad jonin announced. "And you're telling me this because..." the blue-eyed boy questioned with a raised brow and crossed arms. "How youthful of me! I forgot the point of my youthful introduction! I was wondering if you would like to train with Lee and I!" This caused the boy to raise his other brow in surprise. "I would like that. Thank you for inviting me, Bushy Brow-sensei."

After their meeting, the blonde would train with the two taijutsu masters just as vigorously if not more so than them. By the time his third year at the academy was up and the blue-eyed boy was ten, both Gai and the Hokage, whom the bowl-haired man had to inform of training another student due to protocol, were certain that the blonde was already jonin level. The problem with this is that they both know the civilians nor the civilian council would never allow him to graduate early the normal way. That was when Naruto approached them with an idea. He'd had it for a while and decided now that he's solidly mid-jonin level and can't go higher without real-life experience, it was time to approach.

"Let me join ANBU. And before you protest, hear me out.'' Once he was sure they would listen, the black-clad boy continued. "ANBU are assigned and answered only by the Hokage. Not only that, ANBU are required to serve at least four years as long as they remain able and once served they are automatically given either chunin, jounin, or special jounin rank. I can send a shadow clone to the Academy to keep up appearances. I'll spend time with children my age until they graduate when we're all fourteen and I will still get the experience needed for further improvement. I know this is the solution you've been looking for." He spoke the entire time while maintaining eye contact with them both. When the boy was done, they both pondered it for a moment before conceding his point, however reluctant they were to allow the boy into the shadows of the ninja world. "Very well, your ANBU identity shall henceforth be Fūjin." Hiruzen stated.
