Started with "I Do"

"Come visit your mom and dad after university" that was all his mom said before the line went dead again. Jisung sighed as he looked at the already disconnected call wondering what was he called for. To be honest he has never been close with his parents and his parents also were never the type of pampering their child or showering them with love. They were always busy working when he was young and they had never spent time together as a loving family but don't get him wrong he has always respected them and they have always provided him the best for all his needs.

They only met during some special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, graduation or holidays  so it was a surprise for him when he was summoned by them. Jisung started living alone in an apartment he rented once he started the university since living at that huge ass mansion like house with nobody felt too lonely for him. 

As he was walking down the hall to join his class he felt an arm make it's way on his shoulder and a voice calling out to him at the same time "Morning Jisungieeee, why do you look so lost early in the morning?" Jisung realized that it was Felix cuz of his deep voice that still managed to sound like that of a baby. He smiled without looking at Felix and said "Nothing much it's just that my parents asked me to meet them after my class." Felix ohhed but didn't say much about it since he knew it was a sensitive topic for Jisung. 

Jisung was a loud person when he was with people he felt close to but to strangers he had a difficult time communicating with them. So he only had three close friends but it was enough for him. When they reached the class, one of their friends Seungmin raised his hands and said "here guys". The last friend Jisung had was a year junior than them called Jeongin. Jeongin had a different class than them but they were still close as they would often meet after class ended and do their homework together in a cafe nearby the younger house catching up with each other.

That whole day Jisung couldn't pay attention to his classes as his mind was busy thinking of the reason why his parents wanted to meet him. Jisung was the class topper so he had no problem with catching upto classes but he still always did his best in his classes. So, seeing him spacing out made his two friends worried. But Jisung would only say he was fine when asked if he was okay? by his friends. As the classes ended they met up with their little friend Jeongin and while the three made their way to eat something Jisung excused himself to go to meet with his parents.

The location sent by his mother was not their house but instead their company. As he went up by the elevator to his mother and father's office he thought to himself 'What exactly did they want to tell me that they even called me to their office?' He reached the top floor where his parents office was and made the secretary outside the office inform his parents that he was here. The secretary came right out and led him inside the office. As Jisung entered the office, the secretary closed the door behind him. When he finally got the view of the whole office he was surprised to see three more people in the office.

He looked at his parents with a confused face but his parents only told him "Greet uncle and aunty Lee." Jisung bowed and said hello politely to them as he sat next to his mother where his mother patted. The said uncle and aunty Lee smiled to him and said turning to his mom "You have raised a really good boy." 

Jisung's mom smiled flattered and replied by saying "You could say the same about your own son. He even brought us health supplements to wish us longer health." Ms. Lee also smiled flattered and said "It's only because i said that we were going to meet an important elder." "Oh my look at me i also should have warned Jisung that we were meeting an important guest. Blame it on me i will make him visit you next time with souvenirs." Jisung's mother said while smiling.

Jisung gave them a polite but an awkward smile but was thinking to himself 'Why would i visit them? I don't even visit my parents regularly'. As he was looking around to try and avoid Mr. and Ms. Lee eye contact his eyes locked with the boy sitting at the other corner of the couch opposite to him. The boy looked at Jisung with the same confused awkward gaze. They both turned away from each other at the same time once they met each other's eyes. 

There was an awkward silence for a while which was broken by Jisung's dad "I have made reservation at this place which had a really good public opinion. Why don't we further discuss about things as we eat. These children also must be hungry as we called them as soon as their classes were over."

Mr. Lee said "We could do that. Why don't you share the location to Minho here, he and Jisung can come together in his car while we four can go by ourself in one car." All the elders nodded their head and started to head out of the office with Jisung and the boy named Minho following behind them awkwardly avoiding each other's eye contact. As they reached the garage the elders entered the car and told the kids to come quickly and they left the place.

Jisung stood their awkwardly fiddling with his fingers while looking at the ground. He thought to himself 'What the hell is going on? How could they literally leave us alone like this. Shit i feel like i should have dressed properly everyone is dressed formally while I'm wearing a jeans pant and a graphic t-shirt that shouts out I'm an emo kid with a backpack and a beanie which is not helping me at all. Even this Minho guy is wearing a white shirt and a black pant which makes him look so much more presentable.'

He was pulled out from his thoughts when he heard a voice saying "I got the location. Let's go my car is this way." Jisung nodded slowly while still avoiding the eye contact and quietly followed behind the guy. Minho had a smooth and deep voice though as not deep as Felix but it was a kind of voice that left deep impression on oneself. 

Minho had one of those expensive looking cars but Jisung didn't really know the brand since he really didn't know much about cars. All he knew about car was that Felix owned an old SUV model which was a hand me down car from his grandfather's  father time. 

"Sorry for the trouble" Jisung said quietly as he entered the car. The entire way to the restaurant was filled with silence but both of them didn't mind it because this was more comfortable than trying to make some crappy awkward conversation. As they reached their destination Jisung saw their parents waiting for them near the entrance. While Minho was trying to find a parking spot Jisung gathered his courage and asked him "Hey, do you know what this gathering is all about?"

"Not really they just wanted me to meet their close friend so here i am. But i think something is fishy let's just finish this quickly and return back." Jisung nodded and they both got out of the car. They entered the restaurant and got inside a private room. Jisung and Minho were made to sit next to each other. It was a round table where Jisung's mother was sitting next to his other side and Minho's mom was sitting next to Minho's. 

They were eating in total silence and as they came towards the end of the dinner Mr. Lee said "Since you are our children we want to let you know that we plan on merging our two companies together. If you have watched recent news the X-company stocks are increasing day by day and if this continues on, it would be bad to both our Han's and Lee's company so we have come to a conclusion."

"Okay and...?" Minho asked with a confused look on his face. "Do you know how a company is merged? If one company buys the other that's the easiest way or there are some other complicated ways but we found a win win situation for both the companies and that involves you two." 

Jisung's dad said as he looked around especially at  Jisung since he really didn't know much about these kind of things as he stayed away from the business world since he was young.  "We are planning on tying a knot with the two family by marrying you both to each other" finally Jisung's mom opened the pandora box.
