Shea's pov

"You're nothing but a piece of shit. No wander your mother left your just like her! You will never make it in this world!" He screamed in my face while throwing me to the ground, kicking me in the stomach and chest until I pass out. When I wake up I'm home alone barely able to move. I drag myself to the kitchen to get some water and ibuprofen. When I reach up to the refrigerator I see that there is a chain around the handles with a lock locking it together, but lucky for me he forgot the key in it. Sitting up the best I can and raising my arm up wincing at the pain I turn the key when all of a sudden I feel a sharp pain filled by what feels like blood running down the back of my scalp....

Jade's pov
*hour and a half after Shea falls asleep*

Storm and I are mid conversation about Shea when all of a sudden she starts whimpering and squeaking in her sleep. Feeling my stomach grow warm I realize she must of had a accident, looking down to confirm and nod looking up at my wife. "Can you help me? I need to wake her up but I wanna ask if you can get her something to change into from the nurse please?" Getting up with a nod and going to the nurses station I gently try to start waking up the little one. "Shea honey can you wake up for me please?" She squeaks loud making my heart grow and melt at the sound "Shea sweetie mommy needs you to wake up for me really."

Looking up at me with really wide eyes starting to cry hard realizing what must of happened I try rubbing her back to calm her "shhh it's okay it was a accident." Shaking her head fast and mumbling through her tears making me tear up "mes sowwy pease no huwts mes no meaned to." I hold her tight but gently against my chest whispering "Baby I would never hurt you. When Storm gets back with something to change into do you want me to help you change and take a shower?" Nodding fast and trying to calm down while pushing her face back in my neck "mommy no weave mes eivew?" Letting my tears fall finally I shake my head and tell her "never."

Seeing Storm and Jessie come in I rub Shea's back getting her attention, "okay honey they brought you something to change into. I believe Jessie is going to help me get you unhooked so I can take you to the bathroom." She whines but nods knowing she needs to change.

I help Jessie unhook her, sit up and look at Storm grabbing the gown for her, "you ready honey?" Nodding and tries hiding in my neck more, I walk to the bathroom and look at her, "okay honey I gotta sit you down so I can change you..." I rub her back as she starts crying. "Hey hey it's okay honey, I'll hold you after we get you out of these clothes. I promise." I sit her down on a shower chair, turn on the shower and ask before taking each piece of clothing off. When I get her undressed I pick the chair and all up sitting her in there. Giggling when she gets picked up "hehe mes taww (tall)." I smile then start to wet her hair and grab the shampoo. I scrub her head while she relaxes "does that feel good honey?" She nods and sighs contently "bestest."

After washing her hair I ask, "is it okay if I wash your body?" Not sure of if she even will let me but get a head nod in return. I start washing her body and tickle her sides a little hearing her giggles. "Okay let's get you out and in fresh clean clothes" Getting more giggles and a head nod I pick her up and wrap a towel around her immediately.

When we walk out of the bathroom I see Storm smiling, "was that a good shower Shea?" She asks smiling. "Mhm hew tickwed mes sides" Storm laughs and looks at me. I lay us back down and giggled "sure did I got all the cute giggles to." Shea laughs and tries hiding in my neck again "are you still sleepy honey?" She nods and closes her eyes while I rub her back. "Get some sleep we will be right here."
