[FLUFF]
"Okay! You got this, Pim!" Pim hyped himself up in the mirror with a pair of finger guns and a large smile. He had made the intimidating decision to finally confess his "little" crush to Charlie today. "It's now or never! I'm sure it'll all be okay!" His palms were sweaty, body shaking, and his face was about two shades darker than usual. Though, he was confident it'll go smoothly, he has everything prepared and he quote, "BELIEVES IN DESTINY"! Not to mention, Pim had the normal cliche gifts. Chocolates, flowers, his normal attire but get this... It's ironed. All in hopes to win over the large yellow fellows heart.
Meanwhile, Charlie was absolutely oblivious. He tossed on his stained orange hoodie, a pair of jeans, and a hat. His shoes were just a pair of worn down sneakers. Classic Charlie.
Of course, he might've washed the hoodie if he had known what Pim was up to. Then again considering Charlie he probably would bring Pim on a "romantic" date to Saltys if they were already previously dating.

Pims car pulled up into Charlies apartments parking lot, ready to pick up the big yellow critter to bring him to his little surprise! He was gonna bring Charlie to the small abandoned park that lurks in the woods, it was small, but the two always enjoyed it. Especially when they had their little "I love to explore abandoned places" phase when they first became best buddies.
It was always dimly lit, woods all around them. Just a small safe space for the two of them. No one else outside could see or hear in and they couldn't see or hear outside of their little space. The swings were in better condition back then, but now they are old and rusty. Though, that doesn't stop Pim. He believes in destiny! Even if that destiny ends with a hospital visit and a tetanus shot.
Charlies phone buzzed against his small wooden dresser, all messages from Pim. He walked over and opened each individual message either saying, "I'm here!" Or, "are you ready? No rush!"
Charlie smiled at the messages then made his way down to the apartments lobby and through the glass doors leading to the outside world. Now all there is to do is find the pink bobble headed critter. Though, that wasn't very hard to do considering Pim was yelling and waving through his car window. Charlie face palmed with a sigh, "Dear god Pim..." Then made his way over to the small car.
Charlie opened the door before gently sitting down in the car, "y'know, I'm not blind man." He smiled at the smaller critter.
"I know Charlie, I'm just excited is all!" Pim had a faux smile plastered on his face. Truthfully, on the inside he felt as if he were going to implode. He just wanted to lay on his best friend and pass away. Though, there's no backing out of this now.
"OKAY LETS GET OUR BUTTS ON THE ROAD WOOO!" Pim yelled, Charlie furrowed his brown and covered his "ears".
"Jesus Christ Pim, with that much pent up energy you'll drive us right into a light pole." They both chuckled and Pim pressed his foot on the gas. From then they were off to the woods with the rusted swingset.

After about an hour of conversation and several potential head on collisions our little love birds finally made it to the forest.
The sun was finally setting, an orange and pink hue over took the sky. A couple fluffy clouds sprinkled the sky and small stars began to shine through. They both stepped outside of the car and to the side walk, admiring the beautiful sky.
"Hey Charlie, you remember where the little swing set was?" Pim asked, his voice almost a whisper. I guess this was just the result of the built up anxietys and worrys finally nipping and biting at Pim. His voice was almost shaking, worry laced in every sentence.
"Uh, yeah, are you alright dude?" Charlie asked with worry, he placed a large yellow hand on the smaller critters shoulder.
Pim straightened his posture and smiled gently, "Yeah! I'm peachy! How about you start to head over to the swing set! I'll meet you there!" His attempt to straighten every wrinkle of anxiety in his voice worked a little, or so it seemed to do so by the wave of relief on Charlie's face and the gentle smile coming with it. Oh, how Pim loved that smile.
"Sure, I'll see you there man." Charlie rubbed Pims shoulder then headed on his merry way.
Pims face flushed another dark shade of pink, then he waddled his way back to the car. He filled his arms with the flowers and chocolates to the point it was rather hard to see. Regardless, he shut the car door, waddled down to the side walk, and with the honk of his car it was locked.
Down the dark path of the forest Pim went, his arms were shaky and his shorts occasionally caught on a bush. An occasional flower fell from his arms, but he didn't mind. He just wanted out of those dark woods, especially with what had happened at Halloween. A shiver went down Pims spine at the very thought. 'Poor guy...'
Then there it was, a small passage of light. Pim pushed his way through the patch of leaves, his gaze settling upon Charlie. The big yellow critter was sat on the swingset, the mix of moon light and the left over orange that illuminated the sky above hit his face. The grass around him was over grown, but still beautiful. A small field of flowers and an occasional moth flying around.
Pim paused for a moment, taking in everything. He was about to confess his feelings to his best friend. Right here, right now. He took one sharp breath in and slipped back into the small passage between the swingset and the dark path. "Am I really gonna do this..? What if I mess it up?" His mind began to cloud with thoughts, but through the mist of it all a gentle hand landed on his shoulder.
"Pim, you alright buddy?" Charlies head peaked in, looking at Pim. Pim didn't answer for a solid moment. Charlie then took one of Pims hands in his and brought him to the swingset, ushering him to take a seat, then sat right next to him. "Pim, you've been acting really odd the whole ride here, are you alright? Do you need to talk about something?" That's what really set Pim off.
He rambled with no stop in sight. Multiple, "CHARLIE I THINK I LIKE YOU"s or, "I KNOW I LIKE YOU"s and always a, "IM SORRY" after each and everyone. He clutched his shorts as small tears rolled off of his face in fear his best friend wouldn't wanna be there for him, the gifts all falling through the sides of his arms.
Once again, through the fog in his head Charlie seemed to interrupt. He placed a gentle hand on Pims back, pulling him into a strong embrace.
"Your okay, it'll be okay.." Charlie reassured. Pim sniffled and shoved his face into Charlies oddly stained hoodie. More "sorrys" and "I understand if you don't want to be around me anymore" uttered from the pink critters mouth.
Charlie gently kissed the top of Pims head and rubbed circles into the others back, "you didn't give me a chance to say anything before you started sobbing bro.." the two of them laughed softly for a moment, "I feel the same way, okay?" He awkwardly said. He wasn't the best with this kind of thing. Though regardless Pim tossed his arms around Charlie's neck and smiled.
The stars shined above, the two love birds enjoyed their visit to the rusty old swingset.
