2am on Tuesday August 16.
I had trouble sleeping that night. My headaches got worst and I could barely stand up strait. I'm supposed to give birth in 2 weeks but I feel like I'm about to now. Suddenly I felt a big jolt of excruciating pain on my lower stomach and back. I jerked up and yelped. "BRIAN GET UP NOW!!" He jumped awake and saw what's wrong. "Do you think your in labor?!?" He asked. "I guess, but I have 2 more weeks." I felt another kick. "Aghgga!!" I screamed. He got up and slid some sweatpants, a shirt, and vans and ran down the hall to grab my hospital bag.
Brian came back and helped me up. We took forever to get me down the stairs. Finally we got into the car and drove to the hospital while I was squeezing the life out of Brian. "Ok babe were here." We walked into the hospital and the lady at the front desk asked what we need help with.
"How may I help you." She asked. I screamed and yelled, she eventually got what I meant and Brian was in pain too from me squeezing his hand. "Owe babe, my hand." He cried. "I'm the one in pain, shut the fudge up!!!!! Dang!!" I exclaimed. I wasn't trying to be mean but he was over exaggerating. I'm the one in labor. Maybe.
She grabbed a wheel chair and wheeled me into a room. Brian followed quickly behind. They sat me on the end of the bed and told me to take deep slow breaths. Brian was in front of me massaging my legs and thighs while the doctor was checking my blood pressure."Okay Ms. Matthews, lay back gently so we can do an ultrasound and see how many centimeters you are dilated. I did as they asked. I relaxed a little when I saw my babies. "Ok you're only 3 centimeters, but bad news. The babies heart rates are dropping so we need to get them out as soon as possible to avoid doing a c-section." The nurse said. "How much time do we have if they keep dropping." Brian asked. "Well, about an hour. We're gonna try a hot bath and medicine to speed up the dilation process." I sighed and nodded my head.
1 hour later at the hospital.....
"Just got off the phone with Kendall baby, she's excited and sad at the same time." Brian said. I smiled and felt a sharp pain. "Brian call the nurse for me please, something's wrong." Brian jumped and asked if I was ok while calling the nurse.
I started to see stars, but tried to stay awake. Nurses came running in and check my pulse and then did an ultra sound. I was still only 3 centimeters and the babies heart was still dropping.
"Brian, Brian, Brian, something's wrong. My head hurts, and something keep poking me in my chest. My stomach is sore and like just hurts, please, please, make it stop-" I started crying, not crying but bawling. I don't know what was wrong but something was."OH MY GOSH, we need to do surgery now, no way this will be a natural birth." The nurse screamed to get more nurses and a table to wheel me into the ER on. Doctors came piling in. Brian looked sad and disappointed.
"Danielle, Danielle. It's gonna be okay baby ok. I love you." I heard Brian say from across the room. I opened my mouth to say it back, but nothing would come out.
"Patients, losing it guys, the babies heart is killing her. Let's go. Let's go."
