As the next month went on, Naomosa found less and less support given to Izumi Midoriya's case. The upper brass were being pressured to "let it go", and "not let it mar the record of a potential hero". Increasingly stonewalled by Aldera, he just couldn't make any progress. They wouldn't let him interview the boy, even though more and more evidence showed that he was guilty. All the while, that blond kid was getting ready for the UA entrance exams. They were 9 months away at this point, and he needed to be at his best...

On a positive note, the witness to Izumi's death had actually wanted to reach out to console the grieving mother. So, the detective introduced Inko to Mrs. Ayouma, and they hit it off decently well. Keeping tabs on them showed that Mitsuki Bakugo, Inko Midoriya, and Nakidori Aoyama had become firm friends, and a strong support group for the green haired woman. This provided some comfort to the Detective as he was forced to let her daughter's case turn cold... as more "pressing" cases came in every day.

He hated bureaucracy. Naomosa looked up seeing light fade and clouds cover the sky in a dark blanket. A gloomy start to the next month, he mused, before getting into his car.

Criminals and Villains never rested, and so he didn't either.

Kodokuna Hakamori didn't mind his job. Granted, with a name like his, and a weak quirk that only activated during thunderstorms, he was garunteed to never get a great job, nevermind be a hero. But, being a graveyard attendant, he didn't mind his position in the slightest. He watched over the fog filled graves as he conducted his duties. Despite popular belief, people in his position didn't just stand around dusting graves, and witnessing zombies. No, his role was important. He acted as warden of the dead, keeping people from disturbing the graves, from tagging any tombstones with graffitti, and generally responsible for the graveyard's upkeep. A glorified gardener, with a little extra responsibility. A solitary job nobody wanted, in the dead of night. No wonder that kind of shift was referred to as the "graveyard shift". But that was fine for him.

Despite his acceptance of current situation, a disturbing trend had been noticed amongst his associates in his... profession. Bodies had been going missing as of late, so all graveyards had to remain vigilant in order to keep the bodysnatchers away. Why they'd target particular people eluded him. There wasn't anything to be gained from it. Sure, in the past, before quirks, and far before much of the tech they had now, medical students stole corpses to learn, however, that wasn't necessary anymore. People had the option to donate their bodies to science, where medical students could dissect to their heart's content. No, this trend was far more sinister. The work of villains, no doubt. Only they would stoop as low as to steal the dead. Many of them have been here for generations, while others... may have living relatives. As he paused his patrol, he glanced at the grave to his left. In the tombstone, a name was carved: Izumi Midoriya, below was a collection of dates. 2342-2356. Christ, this year... and only... 14... what a tragedy. Below those years was a single statement. "The kindest daughter one could ever ask for, cruelly taken by evil before she could shine". It just made him feel awful. The best really are taken quickly. I just have to make sure she isn't taken from here. It was then that he noticed that the surface of the earth sunk into a depression, the opposite of the other graves. Greatly concerned, Hakamori had to check the body, make sure it was still there. After all, the funeral was just over a month ago, and her mother would be hysteric if they were gone. Hoisting his shovel, the young man started to dig, to see what the issue was. When he reached three meters in, something poked through the dirt. It was a finger, pale as bone. With no signs of decomposition.
