Of all the ways to wake up on the first day of school I didn't expect to be flung out of bed. Literally Bella came into my room and flipped me out if my bed because "we were late"...it was 7 am school doesn't start until 9. And we only live 10 minutes away. As I got into bells car I wondered what this new school would hold for us.
When we pulled into the school parking lot everyone was staring at us, I could tell Bella was getting nervous about it so I grabbed her hand and gave her an award winning smile. "Nice truck" Some jerk said "Nice face" I spat back and flipped him off as Bella kept walking.
We walked to the front office and got our schedules and a map of the school. "Looks like we only have Pre-calculus together, other than lunch of course. Are you going to be okay without me in most of your classes?" Elijah asked her knowing that she had really bad social anxiety and hated talking to people she didn't know. "Yeah I'm sure I'll be fine" She replied
Elijah looked back at his schedule and it read: 1st Block- AP History 2nd Block- Honors English 3rd Block-Fashion Design 4th Block- Pre-Calculus Lunch 5th Block- Free Period 6th Block-Earth and Space Science 7th Block- Creative Writing
As we were walking more into the school, Bella looking at her map then back at her schedule, this random guy came up to us. "Hey you're the new kids right Elijah and Isabella Swan?" "Just Bella" "Yeah hi I'm Eric the eyes and ears of this place, um, anything you need? A tour guide, lunch date, shoulder to cry on." "Uh," Oh no here we go with her awkwardness, "I'm more kind of a suffer in silence type." She stammered out "And she has a tour guide, lunch date and shoulder to cry on, it's me her brother she doesn't need you." "Eli-" Bella started but got cut off by this dumbass with the stupid haircut. "Good headline for the feature, I'm on the paper, and you're news baby front page." He said with a stupid grin
'I'm gonna punch him' Elijah thought as he felt his hand twitch "No I'm not, um, please don't have any-" "Woah chillax, no feature." Stupid haircut guy said cutting her off FOR A SECOND TIME. "Okay thanks" Bella said as she grabbed my hand and we walked down the hall to find our lockers. "Please don't start fights on our first day." Bella said rubbing circles on Eli's hand trying to calm him down. "He interrupted you TWICE then decided to make some smart ass comments and shit, you know I don't like when people talk bad about you." "I know bubs, did you take your medicine this morning?" She asked "No I forgot" Eli said putting his head down in embarrassment "It's okay here hold this," She said and handed him her bag, she got into the pockets and grabbed out a packet of pills, "I brought an extra pack just incase." And she handed it to him along with a water bottle from the side of her bag. "I don't know what I would do without you" Eli said as he tossed all 4 pills back and took a swig of water.
Elijah's POV:
My first two classes were boring like usual, teachers were dicks thinking just because I came in during the middle of the year doesn't mean I don't know anything. I am very worried about Bella, I know how she feels about people, plus I mean she's my sister, my twin, my other half of course I'm gonna worry about her. I don't really like being away from her for too long. If I'm away from her then I can't watch out for her.
Sitting down in my fashion design class I pulled out my sketch book and flipped to an empty page, not really listening to the teacher as she got stuff ready for class, I started doodling on a model I had pre-drawn. "Oh my gosh I love that dress." Someone next to me said I turned my head and saw a pixie looking girl, she had very pale skin, dark brown hair that looked like a styled pixie cut, with golden eyes. Weird. "Oh, thanks I like your outfit." I told her "Oh thank you so much! Yours is cute too. So what got you into fashion? I personally have always been into fashion and the only one I can really talk to about it is my sisters." She rambled on "Yeah...Um, I guess I got into it because I just like it, my sister isn't big into fashion but I try to help her when I can." I told her, kind of put off by how much she talked. "Well I'm Alice Cullen" She said "Elijah Swan" During the rest of the class she just kept on talking, it was weird she talked to me like we've known each other for years. Once the bell finally range I bolted out of there not without missing her shouting, "Well it was nice talking to you see you later hopefully!"
Alice's POV:
After Elijah ran out of class I knew I had to find Rosalie. I figured she would be heading towards Pre-Cal right about now. When I finally caught up to her I practically tackled her.
"Yes Alice what can I do for you?" She asked "I just met your mate!" I practically shouted, but how could I not I mean this was my sisters mate we are talking about. She stopped dead in her tracks. "What?" She said as a look of joy and confusion crossed her face "He is in my fashion design class, he is so cute and shy and oh my gosh Rose he is a perfect match for you!" I gushed out "What's his name?" "Elijah Swan" I told her and I could visibly see the shiver that ran up her spine. "One of the new kids? They're the Chiefs kids aren't they?" She asked trying to shake the feeling she got from just hearing his name "Yeah, him and his twin sister Isabella. I haven't met her yet but I hope she's as sweet and cute as him." As we reached her pre-cal class I got that same smell that I had smelt when I sat next to Elijah. Pine trees, old books, rain and a very faint smell of what I think is his coconut and thyme shampoo.
"What is that amazing smell?" Rosalie asked "What does it smell like?" I asked her, trying to see if she smelled him like I did too. "It's like the most amazing thing I've smelt my whole life, and not like in a hunger way. It smells like Pine, rain, books, coconut and thyme. It's amazing." She said breathing in deep "That's him, that's what I smelled when I sat next to him, although probably not as strong as you do. Have fun." I told her walking away to the library for my free period.
Elijah's POV:
When I sat down for pre-cal I waited for Bella to walk in when the most gorgeous person I have ever seen walked in. She looked like a goddess. A beautiful porcelain doll that would be in the museums for most expensive work. I just can't find the right words to express how beautiful this woman is. And the best but also worst thing to happen happened, she came next to me.
"Is this seat taken?" She asked in a honey like voice. I was going to save the seat for Bella but who am I to deny a goddess a seat when she wants it. "No it's completely open you can sit there" I managed to get out without trying to make myself sound stupid. She gave me a blinding smile as she sat down. "Well since it looks like we will be seeing each other more I should introduce myself, I'm Rosalie Hale"
