Lola then stormed out of the kitchen stomping up to her room. She sat at her desk and saw that the pumpkin was on her desk. She glared at it with disgust

" And what makes you so special," Lola asked the pumpkin. Then all the sudden the pumpkin started to glow brightly. Lola couldn't take her eyes off of the glowing pumpkin almost like she was hypnotized. She quickly grabbed her pocket knife her Uncle had given her previously as a birthday gift. Then she lowered the knife and it grew even brighter than before. But little did Lola know that there was a portal opening behind her while she was staring at the pumpkin. The witch suddenly appeared casting a spell so that the pumpkin levitated off of Lola's desk and through the portal with a hypnotized Lola following it. Then the witch stepped through the portal then the portal vanished. Just outside the house a boy saw the vanishing light and knew what had happened.

Back at the witch's old cottage Lola awoke to find herself tied to a chair. Lola tried to remember what happened but for some reason she couldn't.

"I see you're awake my child," said the witch.

"Who are you and where am I," cried Lola. The witch laughed.

"Such a silly girl you are," the witch replied as she strolls over to where Lola is.

"There is a reason why I need you little girl." While the witch crawls her hand onto Lola's shoulder. Lola shudders at this.

"Well, are you going to tell me why you need me or not?" cried Lola. The witch laughed again at this. So she unties Lola and grabs her wrist tightly to the front door.

"Where are we going?" whimpered Lola. The witch didn't reply but just continued to walk. Eventually they came to a very old dirty well and the smell was gagli.

"Here we are, little girl." said the witch as she threw Lola lonto the ground.

"I need you to get me a very important potion ingredient down there."

"Why don't you get it yourself?" spat Lola as she was rubbing her wrist.

"This is no ordinary, well little girl." snarled the witch, "This well only allows children to enter." continued the witch, " I've had many children try but have failed to retrieve what I sent them for. They never returned although there is a terrible legend to this well. Only a pure hearted child may receive what they have come for. The rest are cursed due to their imbalanced heart of greed and selfishness."
