3: Training Camp

You were now going down the boat you were riding towards the Inner walls. You were walking round trying to find his family. You saw people standing in a line probably getting rations. You then saw a familiar woman walking to go to the line as you ran towards her.

Y/n: "Mom!"

Carla froze from where she was standing and turned around to see you running towards her unharmed. She immediately ran towards you and engulfed in a hug which you respond with your own.

Carla: "Y/n! I'm glad you are okay. I was worried about you."

Y/n: "I'm here now mom. Safe and sound."

Carla: "How did you get out?"

Y/n: "I have my ways Mom."

Carla: "Eren and the others are over there."

Y/n: "I'll go and see them."

You walked towards where Carla pointed  and saw Eren, Armin and Mikasa. The problem is that an MP where spouting harsh things about the survivors of the breach on Shiganshina. You walked faster before anything worse happens. Once you were near, you jumped and kicked the soldier as he went straight to the floor unconscious.

Y/n: "You don't mess with my family."

The three kids were surprised to see you as Eren and Mikasa instantly hugged you tight.

Eren: "Y/n! You're alive!"

Mikasa: "D-Don't ever do that again."

Y/n: "I promise you guys I won't do that again. It's good to see you safe Armin."

Armin: "You too Y/n."

They then sat in the corner waiting for Carla to arrive with their food but Armin had some with him thanks to his grandfather. For the next few days, they had to work in the field but a lot of refugees were sent to reclaim the wall as Armin's grandfather was one of them.

Thousands of refugees were sent but only a hundred returned and sadly Armin's grandfather didn't make it. He was clutching his grandfather's hat closely as he cried.

Eren: "It's all the Titan's fault. Once I'm old enough, I'll join the military."

Y/n: "Count me in brother."

Mikasa: "Me too."

Eren: "What?! You guys don't have to do this."

Mikasa: "I can't let you go there and kill yourself."

Y/n: "Mikasa's right you know. We can't let you out if our sight. I'm your big brother and I'll do anything to protect you all."

Armin: "I-I think I'm joining too."

Y/n: "Are you sure Armin?"

Armin: "I'm done running away. It's time I fought back."

Y/n: "Okay then, once we are ready let's join and show the Titans what humanity can do."

They all nod with determination. Carla learned of what they are planning to do in the future. She didn't want to let them join at first but she just accepted it as she knew they won't give up.

Time Skip - Few Years Later

You and the guys are now teenagers with you being 17 and them being 15. You are now joining the cadet corps with them as you also see Annie, Reiner and Bertholdt. You watch as a bald man named as Commander Shadis walked up to Armin and shouted on his face.

Shadis: "Hey you! What's your name?!"

Armin: "Armin Arlert from Shiganshina sir!"

Shadis: "Is that so? A name for a retarded like you, who gave you that name?"
