Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?
This Juliet didn't need a Romeo, just multiple forms of Paris to keep her busy at night.
Whore is such a dirty word. And besides, she's not a whore. Not really. Whores enjoy what they do.
Juliet McAllister is a depressed teen forced to sell her body for her dead beat parents to buy food and pay rent. It's not like she enjoys spreading her legs for the neighborhood pedophiles, and sadists in disguise. There isn't anything pleasurable about men twice your age groping you in an alley way. There is no pride in the fact the the abortion clinic knows you by name, and is on a friendly basis with you. There. Is. No. Joy.
Yet she does it.
Never mind that she gets bullied daily, for something she can't control. Never mind that others won't listen to her dilemma, and instead brush it off as lies she made up for attention. They don't care, that when she thinks about refusing to sell herself any longer, she remembers what would happen to her father, who gambled away his life.
So she dresses like a drag queen.
Burns what little ash of dignity she could possibly have left.
And works. The. Corner.

Welcome thy shame.
