The mission that changed everything

As team 7 was walking through the woods it was starting to get dark and most were getting tired

"should we stop for a break? You guys look tired" minato quickly said.

"Yes please!" Rin tiredly exclaimed.

They all sat down against a rock and got some food "minato sensei it's getting pretty late
and we haven't gotten to the mist village.." kakashi muttered.

"oh you're right maybe we should camp out tonight" minato sensei suggested.

*rin pov*

"Camping out in the wilderness! I can't think of a better way to get kakashis attention!"
she curled up and continued "just imagine, a romantic walk through the woods! Or, or maybe
cuddling up under the moonlight!" Rin started thinking of ideas till she got one and asks kakashi
a question

"K-Kakashi... can I t-talk with you alone." Rin whispered 

"uh yeah sure rin" Kakashi said while having a calm smile on his face

"his smile is so cute!" Rin squealed in admiration.

As they got far enough from minato and obito, rin got enough courage to ask kakashi a
question.

" ok rin you can do this... just open your mouth and ask.." Rin thought.

After a moment of silence rin finally shouted  " Kakashi I love you! I don't know how my
feelings developed but.." before rin finished she got closer to kakashi " I just wanted to let you
K-know about my feelings and.. hopefully return them.."

As she was about to kiss him, Kakashi said something "Rin..., I'm sorry but I can't return your feelings..."
kakashi said sadly.

"w-what!?" Rin managed.

"Rin I'm just going to say it... I like obito" Kakashi closed his eyes expecting to be yelled at.

*obito pov*

"They've been gone a while... maybe I'll see what their up to." Obito started to walk through the forest
when he hears Rin screaming The words "I love you!".

For a minute obito stood still till he looked up and saw rin getting closer to Kakashi "Kakashi..."
obito ran away from them and started questioning himself "why.. why rin.. why kakashi.. Did I do something
...or did he never love me.." the more he thought about it the more tears ran down his face.

"K-kakashi...." He whispered with his emotions taking over.

*kakashi pov*

Rin said." Oh-oh that's f-fine.." kakashi could tell she was hurt so he gave her a hug and promised to
be her friend

"I'm sorry I can't return you're feelings rin.." kakashi said as he pulled apart

"no it's fine! Really" even though Rins enthusiasm looked genuine he was still worried
so he headed back to camp where he could see obito.

*obito pov*

Obito saw Kakashi walking back to the camp without Rin. "Thats weird but their dating so maybe I shouldn't
hold him back against a relationship he doesn't want."
