Having Doubts?

 Tuesday Morning

"I told him that I still like him" Mia said. "What did he say" Kalia replied. "He said he still likes me too and he regrets not telling me sooner" Mia said. "Okayyy so are y'all going to get together" Kaila said.

"Honestly, I don't know. I mean this is our first time talking to each other since I told him I liked him which btw was a year ago so do you think it's really possible for him to still like me" said Mia contemplating if he actually still likes her. 

"I mean I remember that when you first left after week, he kept asking me and the others where you were and when we told him that you had left he looked hurt and sad, so personally I do think it's possible but it doesn't matter what I think. If you have doubts, you should talk to him about it or take some time yourself to reflect and think about everything" said Kalia.

"Yeah, I'm going to just vibe things out and if I still have any doubts I'll ask him Thursday. That way I can give myself a bit of time before I ask him anything" said Mia. 

"Think about it this way, if you didn't lose feelings for him over a year, it's very possible he didn't either so think positive" said Kalia, trying to comfort her bsfs doubts.

 "Thank you, have you talked to Jacob, do you know if he's feeling any better than before?" Mia asked, shifting her focus to something other than Corben. 

"Oh yeah, his sister came to school today and said he's fine, he said it feels like a cold and nothing life threatening" Kalia replied. "That's good, and doesn't she live with him? so shouldn't she be quarantining too?" Mia asked in a confusing manner. 

"She does but she tested negative, he's the only one who has it, plus it's not like the school would care anyways" Kalia said, shrugging it off like it was a thought in the past. "O okay, so all this guy talk. What's up with you and the male species?" Mia asked, smiled jokingly. 

"Well, I like this guy named Jaccob, he's a junior and we'll speak to each other here and there" Kalia replied. "Jaccob? Do you mean Jacob or..?" Mia asked confused. "No, his name is Jaccob. At first, it confused me to but him and Jacob just spell it differently" Kalia responded.

"Interesting" Mia responded. "What do you mean by "interesting"" Kalia replied. "Nothing, that's just interesting, you would find two guys with similar names to crush on, lol" Mia responded.

 "Well, Jacob has a girlfriend so me liking him is pointless" Kalia said. "That's true but do you know if Jaccob is even single" Mia asked. "Also, Jacob having a girlfriend but being flirtatious with you is weird in my opinion but I digress" Mia added.

"True but Jacob is weird like that anyways, he's complicated to understand but he's cute though" Kalia said. "Just because he's cute doesn't mean he's good for you especially emotionally" Mia said. "I know but he'll give me fist bumps and stuff and he'll get mad or upset with me if I don't" Kalia trying to show Mia that he's not that bad. 

"Mhm still has a whole girlfriend" Mia said very stern. "I know which why he doesn't know I like him, plus I try to ignore him so that my feelings for can complete dissolve. Also, I like Jaccob more than him so yeah" Kalia said defending her position. "I understand just don't get involved with Jacob right now not even if he gets out the relationship because just no" Mia said. "I know, I know" Kalia responded. "Okay, I have a math test so ttyl" Mia responded.

Why are men so complicated? 

I could not have imagined that this is how 2021 would start for me. We are two months in and I'm already having boy problems, and to think I was so excited about being single and free from guys. Guess those plans have changed. 

I did not study for this test at all, It can't be that hard after it's geometry but then again trigonometry is included as well which I suck at btw. 

That Afternoon

"Heyy" Corben texted. "Hii" Mia replied. "Wyd" Corben asked. "Nothing, I just finished up some homework, hbu?" Mia replied. "Oh ok, and I'm on the game" Corben responded. "What are you playing?" Mia asked to pick up a conversation. "Can I call you?" Corben asked. "Uh, sure" Mia replied. 

Ring...

Ring...

Ring...

"I hate texting so calling is just easier but I'm playing Assassins Creed, I know you probably don't know what that it but basically the goal is carry out the missions that you're given" Corben explained. 

"Ah, you just basically kill whoever it tells you to with a goal of passing the level?" Mia asked, trying to understand the concept of the game. 

"Yeah, maybe I'll show you how to play it one day" Corben said. "Maybe" Mia said smiling. "u could show me something else too" Mia said quietly. "What did you say" Corben asked. "Nothing" Mia said a little nervous that he heard her. "You're cute, you know that" Corben said laughing. 

He wants to hangout with me, wait I haven't played video games in years. I wouldn't even be any good, what if I messed up his ranks and stuff. Also, I need to control my thoughts bruh like that shouldn't have slipped out.

"You're cuter" Mia responded. "You're the cutest though, but other than that how have you been, what's new with you?" Corben asked, trying to know her more. "Thx, and not much just trying to pass this year. Also, working on preparing myself for dual enrollment next year, hbu?" Mia asked. 

"Honestly, not much just been trying to make it though school and I'm barely getting by and that's with cheating" Corben said. "Why are you cheating on your work? when I was there it wasn't that hard" Mia replies. "Nah, I'm just not really into school yk, especially math the only classes I actually like is Spanish and choir" Corben replies. 

"Bruh, I miss choir with Mrs. Heart, she was cool" Mia says. "Remember when I needed help with one of the songs and you and Christina sung it for me in mentoring so I could get it right?" Corben asks. "Yeah, I remember and you called me out because my voice cracked. I was embarrassed ash" Mia says while nervously laughing. 

"Yeah, but you voice is beautiful even with the voice crack" Corben says. "Thank you, my voice only cracked because I was nervous" Mia replies. "Why were you nervous" Corben asks staring at Mia through his screen. "I mean it was my first time singing outside of choir class and something else" Mia said nervously. "What else made you nervous" Corben asks intrigued. "you..." she spoke silently.
