Monday Morning

"Good morning" Mia texted. "Good morning, how was your birthday" Kalia responded. "It was just a regular day, we had our argument about boys and stuff so that's that." Mia replied. 

"That's so stupid, your mom aggravates me sometimes" Kalia replied. "She irritates my soul 24/7 but she's my mother" Mia replied. "Yeah" Kalia replied.

"I have a question" Mia replied. "What's up?" said Kalia. "Can you ask Corben for his number?" said Mia. "Yeah, hol up" said Kalia. "Okay" said Mia getting happy. "**********" Kalia replied. "Thank you" said Mia. "He has Covid" Kalia replied. 

"He has what??" Mia thought. I immediately texted Corben "You have covid????!?!" Mia said. "Oh btw this Mia" she added. "Who? When did he get covid?" Mia replied to Kalia. "Not Corben, Jacob" said Kalia. 

Ohhhhhhhh, wait so the first text I just sent this dude wasn't even about him, fuck my life. "Hey, sorry I thought u had covid but that was someone else" Mia texted Corben. 

"Ohh, okay" said Mia to Kalia. "When did he get it?" said Mia. "I don't know but he just texted me that he has it so he's not coming to school" Kalia Replied. 

Ding. Ding. "Hey Mia." Corben replied. I looked at my phone smiling, he responded yayyyyyy. "Hey Corben, how you been" Mia replied. "I've been good, how bout u?" Corben replied. "I'm alright" said Mia. "I'm sorry" Corben replied. "For what?" Mia responded intrigued about what he was referring to. 

"For the way I handled things when you told me that you liked me" Corben replied. "I should've just told you I liked you too but I was so awkward and girls don't normally like me so I didn't know how to react." Corben added. "Honestly, it's fine. I still like you but I'm just not gonna do anything about it" Mia replied.

"Oh, okay, just so you know my feelings for you haven't changed" Corben replied. "What do you mean?" Mia replied. "Um, I don't know how to word it" said Corben. "Just say it, lol" said Mia. "I still have feelings for you" said Corben. "I still have feelings for you too" Mia replied. 

"Okay" Corben replied. "Okay so how do you want to do this" Mia replied. "How bout I say what I should've said a year ago" He said. "Okay" she replies. "I like you" he said. "I like you too" she said smiling at her phone like an idiot. "I have choir practice right now so I can't text for a minute but I'll text you after?" he replied. "Okay, ttyl :)" she texted. 

AHHHHHHHHHHHH, my crush just told me liked me. what do i do? where do we go from this? I need to respond to Kalia, she's prolly mad ash I've responded in 30 minutes. 

"Is he okay?" I texted Kalia. "I mean Idk he just said he has covid" she replied. "Oh okay, well just try to talk to him everyday and make sure he and his family are okay" I replied. "I will, but what's up with you asking for Corben number" she replied. "Oh well, I still like him so I wanted to be in contact with him whether that was as friends or more" I replied.

"Does he know that" she replied. "I mean he actually mentioned when I told him I liked him" I replied. "Oh okay, that sounds promising. Just so you know there's a girl I'm friends with who likes him as well and her name's Bianca and they hug each other whenever they see each other, also the friend group ships them together so just be careful" she replied. "Okay, thanks for telling me" I replied.

 If the friend group ships them maybe I should stay out of it. After all, I left the school a year ago, the possibilities of me and him working out is very slim especially with competition. Could I really compete with someone who goes to school with him? I mean he would see her more often and she's probably better looking than me. I've liked him for a year though, I'm not giving up because someone else wants him. 

I need to go to this zoom class before I get in trouble though. Ugh, I wish my school would go in-person this is so boring. 

A/N: Can Mia win his heart over Bianca or will she lose? What will Mia & Corben do after confessing their feelings for each other? Is a year too long to still like someone?
