"NO! ABSOLUTELY NOT, AUGUST! You are not allowed to come out!! Your career is just getting started, do you know how damaging that WILL be to your reputation?! You are NOT Sam Smith, do you understand? Do not under any circumstances COME OUT!"
It's 7:59am on a Saturday morning and the words August's manager had said to him last night keep echoing in his head. August sighed to himself, feeling like he had betrayed himself by lying about who he really was. It didn't start off this way, honestly, but when it seemed like his sexuality would get in the way of him being able to provide for his family and those close to him, he made the decision to lie. It was a noble decision, but it wasn't noble enough to stop him from thinking about it.
"UGH! I wish I didn't have this damn sound check later today," August groaned as he sat up on his bed, yawning. "I just wanna roll a blunt and sleep for an eternity..." August wiped the sleep off his eyes and noticed the stash Chris left for him last night on his bedside table. August smiled to himself. Well, there's no reason that I can't do ONE of those things. He proceeded to roll a blunt and spark it, coughing harder and harder between puffs, the trees seeming a lot stronger than what Chris had smoked last night. Ha. Thanks, bro. You're always looking out. He laughed to himself, his morning wake-and-bake definitely put him in a better mood. Not only that, but an incoming text from one of his favorite people helped to make the smile on his face a little bit wider.
From Nicki <3 (8:31am): "OMG babes! You'll never guess who just came out to me!!!"
-"Ha..! It must be someone completely surprising for you to be up this early telling me about it."
From Nicki <3 (8:35am): "MR. STEAL YOUR GIRL!"
-"...Trey? You're lying...stop playing!"
From Nicki <3 (8:37am): "I swear babes! No lies! He told me that he's bi. Isn't that great news???"
-"Why would that matter to me...?"
From Nicki <3 (8:40am): "Because I know you've been lonely... I think you two would be good together. I told him about your "secret," he said he's gonna hit you up later! Hope you don't mind..."
-"OMG, NICKI WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?! Do you not know the meaning of a secret?!"
From Nicki <3 (8:42am): Hush! You'll thank me later. He's a good guy! Gotta run, I'm hitting the studio. Make sure to give me ALL the deets tonight! Muah! xoxo"
Trey is bi, huh? Well, that certainly does explain some things, but what makes Nicki think we'd be good together? He's a player... I mean, I've done my share of fooling around, but I'm not about that life anymore. I'm ready to settle down... at least I think I am. August put out the remainder of the blunt and headed to the bathroom to get ready for his sound check later that day, playing with the semi hard-on he got while entertaining the idea of him and Trey ever becoming sexual with each other.
