Alone

It was getting dark, and Erin still wasn't home.
"Did xe leave me? Xe must hate me after what happened..." Moth thought as his eyes watered.
"I'm such a failure..." he whispered, grabbing a pack of cigarettes and lighting one.

His eyes were full of tears as he sat in the dark, hoping Erin might come back despite all of the reasons xe should run away from this shit hole. Just as he was about to give up and go to sleep, he heard someone unlock the front door.

"I'm home! Sorry I took so lo-" Erin was cut off as a sobbing mess hugged him tight.
"Want to talk about it?" Xe asked, hugging his boyfriend back.
"No... I just want to stay like this for a bit longer, " He said in a hoarse voice.

"Erin... Thank you."
