Lucy grabbed her prized stick and hit Allen's stomach, ultimately trying to make him stop. She hit harder and harder before he took the stick and threw it across the room, over by Annabelle. Lucy's luck had run out. Allen was standing beside the window, waiting for Annabelle to make him jump.

Lucy covered her eyes and sat on the floor. She started to wail and rock back and forth, retreating into the happy place in her mind. All of her bats and spiders surrounded her, making her feel safer and out of reach from Annabelle's grasp.

Annabelle's grin melted away and formed a thin line. Unsatisfied with Lucy's reaction to hide in her inner mind instead of giving in and coming to her. She raised a small plaster hand towards Lucy and the red glow became dull. She was no longer able to reach into her mind and feed off of her fear.

Her tiny hand closed over the bars of the bird cage and she screeched. The blood curdling shriek took so much of her concentration that Allen broke free of her grasp on his mind. He ran to Lucy and tried to pick her up, but was thrown backwards by a dome of red. He unlatched the door and ran out, too afraid to try and rescue his daughter.

Jane watched as the coward fled and left his daughter to perish by the hands of a doll. She ran inside and the door slammed shut behind her. The latch broke off from the impact against it and the door sealed. Annabelle's eyes grew wider as she chanted, Jane, Jaaane come play with me Jane. Lucy won't play with me and I really want to play a game.

She laughed a horrible laugh and stared at Jane with big red eyes. The grin formed again as she laughed once more through clenched jagged teeth. Jane kneeled down by Lucy and started to reach out for her. Don't touch the red. It's a killer shock. Annabelle screeched a wicked laugh. The red was there, clear as day, but she still had to try. Jane reached her arm out and froze; her hand only inches away from the dome. She sighed deeply, shut her eyes tight, and slowly reached inside the dome.

She was surprised to feel no pain. Annabelle gasped from the other side of the room and screeched. Nooo! How is this possible? Jane opened one eyelid and saw that her hand made a blue indent in the dome. She reached in further and the blue glow protected her arm. She tapped Lucy's shoulder and pulled her out of the red dome.

She hugged Lucy and stood up with her grasping her hand. They both walked over to Annabelle and stood in front of the cage. "You have no power over us anymore, doll." Said Jane in a strong voice. She was confident that they had won.

Annabelle smiled again. That's what you think. She laughed and a red cloud flowed out of Annabelle's chest and went into Lucy. One of the little girl's eyes became red and her head was thrown back as the last of the cloud entered her body.

She laughed and spoke. "You cannot stop me now. I have a mortal form." She grinned and laughed again. Jane stepped back and a look of horror passed over her face. Annabelle laughed and stopped. A look of pain and wonder passed over her face. Her head was thrown back again and she fell to her knees.

She looked up with a face of innocence. "Jane, help me." It was Lucy. Some part of her was still living and fighting Annabelle inside her consciousness. "I've seen inside her mind now. You have to kill me. You have to do it, or she'll kill everyone." Her head jerked back again.

A grin reappeared on her face. "Yes, go ahead and kill us. I know you won't." Annabelle laughed harder and claws formed on her fingers.

Jane was enraged and grabbed a knife off of Lucy's desk. She held Annabelle down and pushed the knife through her throat. Her eyes opened wide and her mouth formed shock as she gasped for air.

Jane pulled out the knife and picked up Annabelle. "Thank you." Lucy said before the blue essence cloud exited her body, out the window, and went up into the sky. Annabelle was still in Lucy's form. Jane carried her to the window and threw her in the stream with the piranhas. As they ripped the flesh off of her bones she smiled. The red essence exited the girl's body and was pulled forcefully down into the ground.

Annabelle had returned where she belonged. Back to hell.

Jane sighed and anger passed through her body as she whipped around and saw Allen, standing in the doorway. Mouth gaping, eyes wide, twitching. Jane gritted her teeth and gripped the knife harder. "You were going to let her die." She said through gritted teeth as she walked towards him. He turned and ran like the coward he was.
