Again, and again. It kept happening. Besides the small conversations on the escape plan, #22234 would talk to Cat girl normally and soon became good friends with her. Cat girl would help #12245 speak more clearly too, so he saw her as a good friend, she was a good person. How could she end up here? Then when the conversation was getting more interesting and fun he would always get pulled away, he started to feel more sad every time he had to leave them. So sad, the medical staff started to notice. He had asked if Cat girl could come too sometimes but was ignored.

A month had passed and they were still there, they couldn't find a way out, just a fact they did turn the power off in an area for at least an hour. Not enough time for everyone to leave and go back home. #22234 wasn't frustrated about it, but Cat girl was. She was getting stir crazy and would run around in the outdoor court area. #22234 would just watch and try and get her to stop or at least try and talk to her during her running, if she did stop she would for a few seconds and she'd continue running. #22234 just kinda excepted that as normal Cat hybrid behavior. Though, he's noticed some of the staff watching them. During whenever they would play with each other, or play fight.

They would watch, he hated them watching so he would try and just walk around with Cat girl and discuss what life was before they were captured, and what they would do if they ever got out. Cat girl had a family too, but soon they all parted since their mother died when she was four. For now she was just going around doing the odd job here and there, but she was getting by on some scraps they would give her when she turned into a cat. #22234 forgot they could do that, the fact that they could was what the staff wanted to find out. He barely saw another hybrid do it in a while.

Again he was called back but this time wasn't for a patient. Instead a female staff asked if he wanted Cat girl to be part of the medical team too. His ears jumped up and he smiled, it's been so long since he smiled that it hurt. He wanted to jump around but went to hug the staff member, and she let him. He made a small giggle and said yes! That he would really want that, to finally have another hybrid, a friend with him inside the medical ward. He then let her go just before another staff member walked in, the female staff went and told them what they were doing now and to have another uniform for Cat girl. They nodded and were sent off into another room.

#22234 went to go and tell Cat girl about this, and how if they were together all the time now they would find a way faster now. But he couldn't find her. He asked #12245 if he knows where Cat girl is and he said that he was wondering where she was too. The two went and asked the staff what happened to her.

"Oh her? She's been injured when she was put in a fight with another animal. We put her in the room, you know the one. Since she's going to become part of the staff now"

So, she's in the room now. The very room he's been locked into at times he was injured as well. #12245 had no idea what the room was, #22234 wouldn't let him in on what it was since he doesn't like to talk about it. #22234 had been in that room a few times when his patients were really riled up and would attack anything in their sights since they were blinded by something they were given. He's seen other staff members get treatment when they were injured, why couldn't they? Of course it was because they were lowly hybrid children who didn't know any better and got caught. But still, where's the sympathy in this hell hole.

He went and ran for the room leaving #12245 behind, but he ended up quickly following. #22234 arrived to the door with a slight skidd in his step while #12245 accidentally slammed into the wall near them head first. #22234 heard slight hiccups and wheezing, she was injured badly, he could tell.

"Cat girl?"

"What?"

She was quiet, too quiet for their liking.
