My Heart Skips a Beat

'Babe, huh.'

Hope wakes up feeling something tickling her neck. She slowly opens her eyes letting them adjust to the bright morning light. When she fully wakes up flashbacks of the night before flashed through her mind. The party, the fight, the kiss-THE KISS! Hope can't help the big smile that appears on her face thinking about her and Josie's first kiss.

It was everything she thought it would be and more. She looks down to her left to see the very girl that occupied her mind. Josie looked so beautiful and peaceful when she was asleep. Hope lifts her hand up to the brunettes cheek and lightly caresses it not wanting to startle the other girl.

"You know it's rude to stare." Josie grumbles in her husky morning voice. Hope let's out a soft laugh. "Can you blame me." Josie hums and snuggles closer to Hope. "I guess not."

The two stay like that for a while basking in the calm and quite around them. After a while Hope looks up to her alarm clock to check the time. "Hey, babe we have to get up soon." Josie rubs her eyes trying to get the sleep out of them. "Hm, I'm babe now." She teases. 

Hope blushes and lightly shoves Josie. "No, no I like it. It's cute." Josie says as she raps her arms around hopes waist. Hope grumbles and hugs Josie back. After a few more minutes cuddling they get up and head to the bathroom to get ready.

In the twins dorm Lizzie lies in bed still thinking about the conversation she had with her mother. It turns out they were more a like than she thought. They had scheduled to have brunch together next week to catch up a little more.

With the chaos that was last night, it ended better than she had thought. But she can't seem to shake the feeing that she forgot something. Something that might be important.

Lizzie recalls all of the events that happened the night before. The party, the fight, Josie and Hope leaving together, her and MG leaving together, her mom coming over...

What is missing? Party, fight, hosie, Mg, mom. Party, fight, hosie, MG, mom... Then it hits her. "MG! Oh my god I forgot about MG!"

Lizzie jumps out of bed and rushes to the dorm door. Sure enough Mg was there sleeping by the door lightly shivering. "MG! I am so so so sorry! I forgot you were out here!" She rushes towards Mg helping him up off the wall.

"I-It's o-ok L-Lizzie" Mg says his teeth chattering. "No! No it's not! I can't believe I forgot about you. I'm a terrible girlfriend." They both walk back into the dorm room where Lizzie tucks Mg into her bed. "T-that's s-so not t-true Liz."

Lizzie shakes her head. "No it is! How can I make it up to you? I'll do anything." Hearing this Mg perks up. "Anything, Anything?" He says wiggling both his eyebrows. Lizzie slaps him in the arm. "No, not that!"

"Ow! It was joke!" Mg rubs his injured arm. "Well not a very funny one. Especially because...well you know why!" Lizzie plops down on the bed with a huff. MG sits up to the head post of the bed. "Yeah, but if you're serious about making it up to me..." Mg grabs on to Lizzie's hand. Please don't say it. Please don't say it. "Then we could start watching the Harry Potter movies."

Lizzie let's out a loud groan. "Nooo, whyyyy." She dramatically slides off the bed. "Come on Liz! You promised. Besides you said anything." After a few minutes of what Lizzie thinks is MG trying to make puppy eyes she caves. "Fine! But only if I get to be the little spoon and pick the candy!"

Mg smiles. "Of course." With that Lizzie gets off the bed and starts to get everything set up for the next 2 hours of torture.

After getting dressed Hope and Josie walk to campus. On the way there Hope noticed the weird glances she got from a few students. It wasn't something new but it didn't get any less annoying.

When they reach the dining hall they run into Cleo and Jade. "I'm sorry I couldn't be with you after the fight last night. God, Josie are you ok?" Jade rushes over to the girl checking for any injuries. "Jade I'm fine. Besides, Hope was there for me."

Jade looks over to Hope. "Jeez, Labonair. Remind me never to get into a fight with you." She slaps hopes shoulder. "Yeah, not my finest moment."  Hope winces. "It's ok short cake by this time next week no one will even remember the fight. They happen all the time. Well everyone but finch and her groupies." Jade says with a laugh.

Hope mentally rolls her eyes at the nickname. "Yeah. That's what I'm hoping for." Hope says quietly. "Well as much fun as this was I am in desperate need to talk to you, Hope." Cleo says as she hooks her arm around hopes. "Uh, I was actually walking Josie to class." Hope says.

"No problem Mikey. I got it covered! Josie and I have the same lecture anyway!" Jade says as she takes Josie's arm. "Ok. Well I'll see you later babe. Lunch at mystic grill?" Hope says giving Josie a kiss. "Yeah ok. See you later!"

The two pairs then split. "Babe, Huh?" Cleo teases Hope. "Shut up." Hope says laughing.

It's finally lunch time which means Hope can finally she Josie. The brunette was all Hope could think about lately. Her beautiful laugh, the way her eyes sparkle when she talks about music, her smile, her voice. Just everything about her.

Hope is so deep in thought that she bumps into the very person she's thinking about. "Oh! Josie, I'm so sorry! Are you ok!" Josie let's out a laugh. "We've seriously got to stop meeting like this."

"Yeah. We do." Hope laughs. After a minute the two start making their way to the mystic grill. When the get there they sit at their favorite booth. "So how has your day been so far?" Hope asks. "Well besides Jade following me everywhere claiming to be my 'bodyguard' it's been fine. How about you? You know with everything that's happened last night."

"I'm fine-" Josie gives Hope a look.  "Really. Yes, people stare at me in the halls but it's nothing I can't handle." Hope takes Josie's hand and rubs her thumb across it lightly. Josie let's out a relieved sigh. "Ok. Good." Shortly after, their waitress comes to take their orders. The two then go on and to talk about anything and everything. Enjoying one another's presence.

The two are about to leave when Josie hears a voice she thought she'd never hear again.

"Hello, Josette."

Hey guys! Ik it's been a while. I finally got Wattpad to actually work now after weeks of it glitching. I hope it's not just me lol. But now that it's working I can release the chapters once a week like I originally planned.
