You wandered around Dreamtale walking through the empty village. It felt almost haunted from how quiet it was. There was a slight breeze that filled the air with dust. Up ahead is the hill where the tree once stood. This place always had the most depressing aura to it. Everyone who lived here had died to Nightmare's hand. Dream always talks about how Nightmare, "Was a really good person!" and other things of the past. He may have been nice back then, but now he was not exactly the person you would ever want to meet.

You lived with Star Sanses. Honestly you had nowhere else to go with your Au destroyed. When your Au collapsed in on itself, it left you in an empty white void with your own thoughts, but the Star Sanses had found you there and decided to take you in. Now you often aided them in their missions to protect the multiverse from destruction and chaos.

You shook those thoughts out of your head and reminded yourself why you were here. The Stars had sent you on your own mission for once instead of you being a small bit of help whilst they did the rest. You were happy to prove your worth to the team by accepting the quest and heading off to Dreamtale. They wanted you to search around and see if you could find anything that could be a weakness to Nightmare. It would be nice to know any other weakness than just positivity. It isn't exactly easy to have a smile on your face when a goopy tentacle monster, along with his goons, are trying to cut your head clean off your shoulders.

You picked up the pace and walked further into the village, checking inside each home. You didn't find much except for basic living items and a few games such as checkers and cards. You froze, suddenly having the feeling of eyes burning into your back. Scanning your surroundings, there was nothing. It was dead silent. Trying to shake off the feeling, you continued your search. But that feeling that somebody was watching your every move, it wouldn't go away. It sat like a stone in the bottom of your stomach.

Hearing a loud slam behind, you whipped around to see that a door had fallen off of its hinges. Letting out a sigh of relief, You're just being paranoid.

You continued the search in another section of the village, still on edge. You were about to begin the small climb up the hill when you stopped in your tracks. Crunch, crunch, crunch. Loud running footsteps were approaching you from behind. You turned around, scrambling back, just to see that there was no one in sight. You really were not comfortable here anymore but decided to just get this over with.

You head to where the dead tree is, the dead grass crunching under your feet as you approach. You observed the tree and in the corner of your eye you saw a dark figure standing in the woods beyond, watching you. You blink and look in it's direction, but it was gone, as if it were never there.

Before you even had time to react you were bashed on the head. You dropped to the ground as you lost consciousness. The last thing you heard was a deep chuckle full of menace before fully blacking out.
