(I wonder why I can write about this when I can't write about that time I got reincarnated as a slime. I literally have a slime rimuru with a mask tattooed on my wrist and not to mention I've rewatched the show literally dozens of times for no reason? )

Bisco's POV

I listen to Milo's humming as I make more mushroom dipped arrow tips. It was peaceful. Akutagawa was off trying to find a female crab. Milo was working on sewing up the clothes.  I lift my head a little and peek at the doctor. It's been a couple years since we've defeated Kurokawa. He's let his hair grow out a little. It reached halfway down his back that he kept back with a hair tie. He was really pretty, I've always thought so. But now, he's beautiful, that gorgeous sky blue hair that I just want to run my fingers through the silky strands.

Milo lifts his head and smiles, tilting his head, making his bangs slide over. "What is it Bisco? Something on my face?" My face turns red a little and I turn my head back down. "It's nothing." I grumble before finishing the last arrow. Milo laughs a little. "The mushrooms in your hair grow when you're embarrassed." Before I can go to run my fingers through my hair, Milo leans forward and plucks a few out of my hair. "There" He leans back with a smile. My cheeks turn red. "Thank you." I mutter and look away.

"Look at all the flowers Bisco!" Milo says, running down the hill with a huge grin on his face. I smile. "I'm glad to see him doing better" Pawoo says from next to me, nudging me a little. My nose scrunches up. "Me too. After what he had to deal with, before and after I died..." I make a noise of protest when she rubs the top of my head. "That's in the past." I shake my head when she lifts her hand. Milo was perfectly content, laying in the field of flowers. His eyes were closed, taking in the air and grass.

"Milo is still insisting that we're perfect for each other" I mutter. Pawoo laughs. "I can see why. But it'll never happen. We just have that one deal and no other attachments." I look at her and grin. "Imagine the chaos that'll appear when they find out the man-eater Akaboshi and the monster governor Pawoo will have a child together." We both snicker. Pawoo looks over the field, watching Milo make a flower crown. "Have you told Milo yet?" She asks, voice quiet. A blush appears on my cheeks. "I'll take that as a no." She replies to her own question. I cross my arms and scowl, red on my cheeks and on the tips of my ears.

"How am I suppose to tell him? Hey Milo, I love you not to mention that I'm having a kid with your sister." Pawoo bursts out laughing before wrapping her arms around me. "You'll figure it out." I click my tongue and shove her off. " Tch, yeah, yeah, I get it, Bitch." Then turn around, red faced. "He's the complete opposite of me, of us, actually. We're dive in head first, safety out the window, only cares for themself, and can't feel pain as much. Milo... Milo is gentle, he might as well feel other peoples pain, and cares for everybody but himself." I say, thinking back on all the times he's apologized for himself being weak, or useless. "He could be bleeding out and would still patch up a scratch on me than himself." I mutter, clenching my fists in frustration.

"Hey Bisco! Pawoo! I made you both flower crowns!" Milo shouts, running up the hill to us. We both turn to face him. He was holding two flower crowns. One was green and was as blue as his eyes. He has a big smile on his face when approaches Pawoo, putting the blue one on her head before walking up to me. I blush a little when he stands in front of me. I instinctively lower his head when he offers the flower crown. It sits on top of my goggles. I turn red. "Making me wear this girly shit" Milo giggles. "Yet you let me put it on you so easily."

I want to cup his cheek, run my thumb across the bottom of his birthmark, run my fingers through his hair and kiss those kissable lips of his. "I hate to break the moment, but I should get going." Pawoo says, climbing on her upgraded motorcycle. We walk up to her. She smiles at us softly, making me click my tongue and look away. In the corner of my eye, I see her put the flower crown on Milo's head. "This looks better on you." She says. "Take care of my brother, Akaboshi!" She shouts at me. I put my hands on the back of my neck. "'Course. But he's strong enough to watch out for us both."

After the Nekoyanagi siblings say their byes, Pawoo drives off, her blue motorcycle glittering in the sunlight. "So what were you two talking about?" Milo asks, a sneaky smirk on his face. I blush a little. "What does it matter?" I bark at him, looking away. He grabs my hand. "I'm glad you two are getting along. You two are good for each other." He says, not looking into my eyes. There was a bit of sadness in his voice? He intertwines our fingers.

"You really confuse me, Milo" I mutter. Those blue eyes of his meet mine. "You say you want me with your sister, but you don't seem to mean it anymore." I cup his cheek. He blushes, avoiding my eyes. I run my thumb along his birthmark. "I don't want your sister, Milo. She doesn't want me like that either." I tell him. "You two are perfect for each other. You're both stubborn, strong, reliable-" I make him look at me, raising an eyebrow at him. "And you aren't?"

He shakes his head. "I have gotten stronger over these couple of years, but I'm still-" He squeaks when I pin him to the ground, I hold his arms above him. Both of us are blushing at this point. "I don't know what you're convincing yourself of, but you're not weak Milo. There's more to things than strength. Like how many people you've saved, you're smarter. Don't look down on yourself. You're my partner. We make up for the other's weakness."

I lean back a little in shock when tears fill his eyes. I use my free hand to wipe his tears away, letting him talk and vent. "I don't deserve someone like you, Bisco. You're just so skilled, kind, smart, and stro-" I cut him off my pecking his lips. "My reasoning is the same as yours, Milo." I release his hands and hug him, rolling us so I'm on my back and Milo is on top. I wrap my arms around him, putting my chin on his head. "I don't understand how someone as amazing as you can look down on themselves."

I feel his tears flow down my neck. "You don't hesitate to help others at all. Doesn't matter if they're good or bad." I run my fingers through his hair, humming a little. "As strong as I am, you make it up in your medical knowledge and your need to help people. I only want you as my partner, not Pawoo, Milo." I hear him sob a little. "But Pawoo-" "I don't want Pawoo. I know you look up to her and she's her older sister, but you need to be selfish sometimes, Milo." He laughs dryly, shaking his head before burying his face in my neck.

I kiss the top of his head. "Y'know Milo, Opposites do attract. I'm too much like Pawoo for it to work out. I like my soft, gentle Milo. I'll take my Milo over that monster any day." He lifts his head. I smile at him, wiping his tears away as his hair makes a curtain of sky blue around us. "Pawoo and I only want one thing from each other." I lift myself on one of my arms and press my forehead to his, closing my eyes. "We're unable to have kids, Milo. Pawoo and I made a deal to have a kid in the future. She doesn't see any men coming into her life and she trusts me, trusts us. We have no love for each other, Milo. One thing Pawoo and I have in common, is our love for you."

"She's alright with that?" Milo asks, his voice quiet. I laugh a little. "She was the one who suggested it. She wants to split custody of our child. She wants me to continue to travel with you and keep you safe. It's nothing but wins." I open my eyes and see Milo's eyes watery. "So... you do want me?" He asks. "Of course I do. I don't think you realize, but I heard you, after you shot me in that pit of melted rust." I mutter the end. His face turns red before he punches me in the chest. "Y-You knew!" I laugh and catch his hand, rolling us over again.

I press my forehead to his, intertwining our fingers. "I didn't know what to say or do after I came back. I didn't realize I had feelings for you until you carried me up in that snow and got shot several times..." "Is that why you were oddly patient with me after you patched me up?" He asks. I smile. "Partially. I knew I was going to die and Kurokawa needed dealing with." I look away and frown, looking at the sky darkening over the field of flowers. We needed to set up camp soon.

"It wasn't fair, Milo." "Bisco..." I put my forehead on his shoulder. "I finally found someone worth protecting, someone I love, and I was going to die. I don't regret it at all, thinking back, but I didn't realize how unfair that all was until I came back from the dead." Milo cups my cheeks and lifts my head. He leans up and kisses me. I cup his cheek and lean into him. He pulls back, smiling and tracing the tattoo under my eye. "It's all in the past now. We're together. Forever, right?" I lean down and kiss him again. "Forever."
