5: The dreams

Y/n's pov:

I'm running from these slimy green mechanical creatures. I don't know where I am, I can't talk , scream, move, all I can do is run.

All of a sudden I stop. 'Wait, no no no , RUN, WHAT AM I DOING RUN' I scream in my mind.

A creature turns the corner trapping me.

I try to scream , run ,hide anything but I can't. It's impossible.

I'm just staring at the creature scared out of my mind, then I see a red glow. I look to my side and see it's coming out of my hand. 'What the fuck is happening'

My body moves on it's own. My hand goes up and the creature lifts off the ground. 'OK WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING'.

I lift my other arm and throw them in different directions cause the creature to split in half.
'YES FINALLY'

Everything goes black again.

My eyes open and I'm in a lab?

'What now?' I think tiredly. This is getting boring real quick.

I see a lady in a white lab coat, with blonde hair and wrinkles, walk in. "My name as you know is Ava Paige." She tells me confidently.

"Yes I know, your a legend here." My body involuntary says.

"So you know what I'm working on?" She asks as if she already knows the answer.

"Yes, well I guess I do. They say it's called the maze trials I don't exactly know what it's about but I'm gonna guess a maze." I say sarcastically

Ava looks at me unimpressed. "I guess your more childish then expected." She says. " anyway, I need you to do something for me y/n."

"What is it?" I ask 'what's going on'

"I need you to design the maze for me, everyone else ive asked is to incompetent to get the simple task done." She says staring at me.

"What's in it for me?" I ask

"You get to design the maze for the trials and your asking what's in it for you?. Come on y/n you know you need this."

"I'll ask again what's in it for me?" I ask getting impatient.

Ava looks at me with a bored expression. "I tell you what you get, I'll give you money to pay off your mothers medical bills. I mean we are the ones keeping her alive until we find a cure".

I think about it for a second. 'I have a mum?' "Fine I'll do it. On one condition."

"And what is that condition?" Ava says smirking.

"Keep my mother alive and cure her as soon as you get the treatment." I reply

Ava puts her hand on her chin and takes 10 seconds before answering. " you got yourself a deal"

It goes black again.

My eyes shoot open. Im standing in front of a mirror, I don't look older than 6.

A woman with m/h/c (mums hair colour) and m/e/c (mums eye colour) walks behind me and puts her hands on my shoulders.

"Y/n... peanut?.. are you ok peanut?." She says her voice sounds angelic

"Mummy, why are you leaving me?" I say with tears in my eyes.

"Mummy's going on a trip, I'll be back soo though I promise peanut. Before I go I need you to promise to never let anyone see your power, and never let anyone take advantage of the power you hold. Do you think you can do that for me love?"

I hold out my pinky "I promise mummy" she locks her pinky with mine and we both kiss our thumbs. " promise you'll be back soon mummy?"

"Of course I will baby, I could never leave you behind." She replies with that angelic voice of hers.

My eyes get heavy again and everything goes black. ' this is seriously getting boring now'

My eyes open and I look around (well as much as I can I can pretty much only see in front of me).

"Mummy?" My tiny voice says "mummy where are you?"

There's fire and sand everywhere, a person jumps out at me and I scream "MUMMY HELP"

The woman who I'm assuming is my mother runs over and pulls the deformed person off of me. "Y/n listen to me carefully, you need to run. Ok? Run far away and forget about me. Please peanut." She rushes out as she's wrestling with the thing under her.

"Mummy I don't want to leave you. I need you mummy..." my tiny voice can be heard over the 'persons' screams.

"Y/n it's ok. You'll be ok, I need you to run. I'll find you one day ok?" She looks up at me not focusing on the person on the ground

"Ok mummy , I'll go I love you." I reply through my tears.

My mother was about to respond but the person under her managed to take control and bite my mothers shoulder. All that can be heard was my mothers screams and pleas.

I stare at the thing and my mother with teary eyes and my mother shouts "RUN Y/N , YOU NEED TO RUN." After these words I take off running the last thing I hear is my mum screaming "I LOVE YOU
Y/N I ALWAYS WILL".

Then everything goes black again.
