Y/n's pov:
We all head for breakfast, today it's eggs and bacon. Apparently they make this for the greenie every time one comes up too.
"So y/n how you feeling about the glade?" Alby ask raising one eyebrow
"It's great so far, I guess." I say shrugging. "Hey chuck mentioned a bonfire yesterday. What's that about?" I ask
Newt looks at me then at chuck and raises his eyebrows "chuck you know the bonfire is meant to be a surprise for the greenie. How many of our secrets have you told her?" Newt says jokingly
Chuck looks worried and goes pale "o-oh , sorry newt I guess I forgot. I didn't mean to I swear."
Newt burst out laughing. Alby tried looking annoyed but I could see a light smile on his face, we started getting weird looks from everyone around. "I'm just messing with ya chuck, it's fine. Anyway to answer your question green bean, every time a greenie comes up we have a bonfire to celebrate."
"It's tonight greenie, and you have to come." Alby chimes in
"After all you are the guest of honour" newt finishes.
"Of course I'm gonna come, chuck already made it obvious he wants me there." I tease giggling at the blush that rises on chucks cheeks.
Alby interrupts "ok that's enough teasing chuck, he's as red as a tomato" Alby chuckles out.
We all give out plates to frypan and get on with our day.
6 hours later. *2pm*
I'm so bored.
I head towards the gardens to find newt. Definitely isn't to annoy him *wink* *wink* :)
Newt is chopping some sort of vegetable? I don't know. I never liked gardening. I sneak up behind him and grab his shoulders "BOOO"
Newt jumps and turns forgetting the knife in his hands, slicing my cheek
"WHAT THE HELL Y/N" he shouts. It takes him a moment before- " OMG IM SORRY. I swear I didn't mean to cut you. Come on let's head to the med Hut"
Newt helps me walk to the, med shack? I think he called it. " you know newt, I hurt my cheek not my leg, I can walk." I laugh out
Newt looks at me surprised "does your cheek not hurt?" He reaches for my cut
"Of course it does" I wince
"The why the bloody hell are you laughing?" He shoves my shoulder as we walk
"Because it was funny and I guess the adrenaline helped the pain a little, especially since I can definitely feel it now.." I say in pain
After what felt like hours we made it the med shack? I really need to learn the names of building and what not. Anywayyyy.
Me and newt head in to Clint and Jeff, and as soon as Clint sees my check he tuts
"Really greenie, it's been a day and you've managed to hurt yourself?" Clint questions as he walks over with supplies. I'm assuming they're to help my cheek
"Technically it was newt who cut me, so you can't blame this on me." I accuse teasingly, trying to hold in my laughter.
Newt looks at me before saying " really? She jumped out on me while I was cutting vegetables, I turned and accidentally cut her cheek. Don't be trying to blame me now, love." Newt says poking my shoulder
"Ok , ok. It may have been my fault" I laugh.
"Ok well this may hurt a little , I suggest holding newts hand, just squeeze it if it hurts to much ok?" Clint says. You can tell he's done this before.
Clint starts stitching my face up and I grab newts hand. "OW , YOU MOTHER-" I start to shout.
Newt quickly chimes in before I can finish " LANGUAGE Y/N."
Clint finally finishes stitching my cheek and says I'm ok to go. So now I'm just laying in the sun waiting for the boys to start the bonfire.
It's taking forever..... or maybe I'm just impatient..... nah that's not it
