The Story of the forgotten Princess

Meeting Exaton.

As Serkhet was sitting on the bank of the river, crying from the pain of the bruises and scars she had. She didn't notice that Exaton was watching her from afar and came up to her. " What's the matter." Serkhet looked at him " Its nothing." She said with a smile , but Exaton knew something wasn't right ,because of the tears staining her beautiful face and the scars evident across her arms. She looked away sadly and saw a lotus flower floating beside her. She grabbed it and used it to heal herself.

" I see you have healing abilities. Where did the scars on your arms come from?" She looked at him in shock and checked her surroundings.

She then began to explain how her father had beat her for not healing her sister who was attacked by a thug and mortally wounded. She told him how she can only heal external wounds, but he didn't listened and lashed her using a whip. She began to scream and no one came to help her. She then ran out of the house and sat near the river.

Suddenly her stomach began rumble loudly, she looked away shyly. " Why dont you come with me, I'll make sure that nothing happens to you, while you stay at the pyramid." Serkhet was shocked, the cruel and hated prince just offered her a place to stay away from her abusive father. She agreed and followed him. When she entered the Pyramid she saw Apis and got scared and hid behind Exaton. Apis looked at her strangely." What's wrong?" He asked confused on why she was scared of him. After Exaton introduced them to one another. Serkhet became more relaxed. She then followed Exaton deeper into the pyramid and met many of the members of the royal court and golden army. She got along well with Maat.

After a few days, Exaton and Serkhet became close friends and always spoke when ever Exaton was free.

Maat noticed their close bond and asked Serkhet how they met. Serkhet told her everything and Maat was surprised to hear about her life at home and felt sorry for her. She also told Maat that Exaton was the first person who actually asked her about her abusive father. " Maat, can I tell you a secret , promise you won't tell anyone?" " Of course , what is that you want to tell me Serkhet?" " I think I have feelings for Exaton I'm not sure why but ,I just do." Maat asked her to explain the main reason and what she thought about Exaton. Serkhet told her that Exaton wasn't as cruel or selfish or greedy as people said he was and actually respected her and cared about her well being. Maat was shocked but promised to never tell anyone.
