Soniharem one shot challenge (On Hold)

My problem with Harem fics - Rant

Now now before you lit your torches up and call me a hypocrite let me explain this to you my problem with harem fanfics in general and why I put in the rules of the Soniharem challenge and why I hate Y/N harem story's

1. The harem members have no interesting personalities I mean it none of the girls in the many harem fanfics I've read have no personality other than loving the main character and making it they're only character trait and that's a really boring personality for a character to have if you ask me and do you know what's worse is that most then 90% of the harem members are fictional characters with personality which would be good in a Harem story but no the first rule of a Harem Fanfic is that girls aren't allowed to have personality and this is why in one of my rules for my harem fic wanted the girls to have personality's and the reasons they like sonic is because I don't want potential fanfics to make them look like cheerleaders.

2. The occ male characters(well except for one): Just to clarify I know that this is your fanfic but let's use Ash x harem fanfics for example.( I will be getting how many FanFiction writers ruined him and his companions later or never).

Literally whenever I see an Ash x Harem fic that says that ash loves someone I will immediately quit the story why? That's because it's not in Ash Ketchums character to love someone other than thinking them as friends (and yes I like ash and no I don't ship him with any girl and yes even Misty and Serena) and do you know the problem with these ash x harem fics is that it would be good in concept I mean Ash the most dense person in anime history getting a harem that try's to win him over that would be a really great humour/romance story but these stories literally don't understand these characters and just want a power fantasy and I hate that. I think that's enough for number 2 but now let's get on to number 3.

3. Y/N: Whenever I see any story that has a badass male/female reader x harem I always thought to myself that this story will be bad that is because the Arthur makes us or you or them Mary Sues that make girls fall in love with them (or you) and these guys are really really overpowered that they literally lost no battles I mean just tell me one story about the y/n mc losing a battle one story...oh wait there is none since the Arthur focus's on making  y/n the most powerful and perfect being in the universe in which he/her has no flaws and everyone and every girl in the universe kisses his/her non existent a##! Oh and another thing about y/n fanfics is that they bash on other characters just to make their mc badass and a thing that trends in y/n fanfics is always union academy and I just have one problem with these fics and that one problem is that how did y/n get into union academy if he doesn't have powers and the Arthur makes no statement about this (and yes I do know there's a story that explains this) and the only theory I always have is that y/n is so overconfident about himself that he wants to join in a school of heroes  and gets decked and hey at least that makes a good explanation on how y/n got into the academy then any of these fics and makes y/n an actually character with flaws instead of the "perfect" human being and a "true hero" then these Author's are doing.

The only y/n x  harem fanfic I like is Ikkitousen harem x Male Vigilante reader: The guardian and the only reason i like this is because this is the first ikkitousen harem fanfic and the male reader character has at least flaws but I did not like the lemon chapter because that felt unnecessary to make.

And that's all for my rants I hope you have a good day and remember if you want to make a male reader x harem fanfics make it good and make y/n a bit weak and have flaws and losses fights and have character development so that it actually makes him a good character and not a Mary and make an actually harem that have the girls have reasons for loving him instead of making them love him because he has a six pack and that is all goodbye.
