The silhouette of a fox reflected on the grass from the sun. She carefully bounded down the rocky hill she was standing on and padded into the grass with exquisite white flowers. A silhouette of another fox appeared as a second fox joined her. It was much smaller than her. They both sat on their haunches and stared into eternity.
"The time has come, Flame, four leaders will each lead the four Tribe's to the Fox Heart." She turned her gaze to the red dog fox. "Your son being one of them."
Flame stared down at his paws not meeting her gentle gaze. "Do you think he's ready? he asked."
She closed her eyes for a second before opening them again to look at Flame. "What do you think?" she replied.
Flame didn't answer. Anger boiled in his gut. He whipped around to her and spoke. "Why are you asking me, you know very well what's going to happen you can read the future. So please, Peacemaker, tell me."
Peacemaker smiled and gave Flame a quick lick on the ear. "Don't get angry," she said coaxingly. Your son will lead his Tribe well." Suddenly she gasped and stared back into eternity as if she saw something coming.
"What is it? asked Flame." He could smell her anxiety.
"My brother answered Peacemaker, he's...he's... oh no." Peacemaker rose to her paws. "I must go" she said. "I must stop my brother."
"Wait," called Flame. "What about Redfire."
Peacemaker smiled again. Her gentle smile and sparkling eyes warming Flames heart. "He'll know what to do, all he has to do, is do what is right."
Suddenly petals from the white flowers blew around her for a couple seconds before falling to the ground showing a little ball of light.
"Do not fear," it said. "I will guide him."
