The four of us awkwardly stand around Dal's bed as she squints her eyes at Jungkook as if she was analysing him. She scans him head to toe as he looks at me and I shrug, this was the first time I introduced her to somebody and that being a male that I'm dating so I have no idea how this is going to end.
"Moon say something." I sit next to her on the bed.
"What's your name?" She asks him and I smile.
"Jeon Jungkook." He gulps and I almost laugh seeing him get nervous because of a child.
"Are you not going to ask mine?" She pouts and he smiles.
"What's your name?"
"Wrong answer, you should already know it!" She gives him a angry face and Lia snorts.
"Moon." I poke her cheek and she looks at me. "Be nice." She rolls her eyes and I gasp. "Who taught you to roll your eyes?"
She pointed at Lia who was hiding behind MinGi and I shake my head.
"Do you love my mommy?" Dal asks Jungkook and he nods while sitting at the foot of the bed.
"I do, very much."
Dal smiles and looks at my two best friends. "Do you both like him?"
I chuckle and look at the both of them. "I do as long as he makes your mom happy." Lia grins but it suddenly goes flat. "Lay a finger on her in a disrespectful way and you'll definitely have my fist up your ass, Jeon."
"Did you have to say that in front of moon?" I get my shoe and throw it at her.
"Sorry!" She groans and gives my shoe back.
"I approve." MinGi pushes Lia to the side and she hits the wall making her scoff.
"Me, you, outside right now!" She pushes him back but he doesn't move and he gives a teasing look.
"I think me and this rat should go home now away and eat before we sleep, we still have work tomorrow." He grabs Lia and they start to walk out the room.
"Hey!" Dal yells sadly and they both come back in quickly to kiss her cheeks and say goodbye before they close the door behind them.
"I'm going to get some water, I'll be back in a minute." I get up and don't give either of them a glance and I go to get a bottle of water a few chocolate bars for all of us before going back.
"Do you know why mommy calls me moon?"
"No, can you tell me why?"
I stand behind the wall and listen.
"She said it's because Dal means moon and that if the moon no longer exists then neither does the world which would be her life without me. She's so smart."
"She's very smart." He agrees. "It's one of the many things I love about your mommy."
"What else do you love about mommy?"
"She's beautiful, kind, strong, loyal, loving, cheerful, funny, confident, fearless, respectful and so many others that I can't even think of."
"What about me? Do I have any of those?"
"Yeah, you have the same ones as your mommy but you have bossy whereas your mommy doesn't."
She laughs at that and he chuckles which is when I walk into the room and hand each of them water and chocolates.
"What are you two talking about? Hmm?" I sit next to Dal and tuck some hair behind her ear.
"Nothing~" she grins and opens her chocolate and as a piece sits in front of her open mouth a nurse comes in.
