❝SO GO ON, TELL ME WHO IT WAS.❞

❝WHO WHAT WAS?❞

   nakamura questioned while scratching the back of her head. the both of you were currently working together on an assignment koro-sensei gave the both of you since he said you guys could work in groups. you and nakamura were originally planning to have nagisa in your group, but he was working with karma which meant the both of you had to talk to eachother.

   and neither of you were ready for that.

   "the person who told you me and isogai were on a date, duh!" you said like it was the most obvious thing in the word. nakamura made a 'i'm about to get in deep shit for this' face and looked to the side. "are you SURE  you want to know?" "yes." "are you positive?" "extremely." "( y/n ) are you-" "oh my god nakamura just tell me—"

   "it was karma."

   "IT WAS WHO??" you yelled loudly. so loud, the whole class was looking at you, including karma. nakamura snickered while covering her mouth with her hand while you just blushed out of embarrassment and put your head down on your desk. "i told you you wouldn't like it." nakamura laughed while picking up her pencil and began writing on her paper. "are you happy now, ( y/n )?"

   "absolutely not!" you whisper-yelled. "the thing is, i don't even know how he saw me and isogai because when we were at the park, literally no one was there!" nakamura wiggled her eyebrows while smirking suggestively. "OH so you guys went to the park TOO?  i don't blame karma for thinking the two of you were on a date." "shut up rio." you blushed as you slightly punched her shoulder. "i don't like isogai like that, and you know i'm not ready to date anyone yet."

   "could it be, karma was watching the two of you because he secretly MISSES YOU??" you rolled your eyes while finishing a math problem you were working on for 5 minutes. "don't be dumb rio, i bet he hates my guts." "really? cause he's staring at you right now."

   you immediately turned around quickly, too quickly for your liking, and when you faced karma, he averted his eyes and began to talk to nagisa. "okay but that doesn't mean anything!" you argued. now it was nakamura's turn to roll her eyes. she honestly felt bad for you about the whole break-up thing, and was completely on your side. she felt even worse when karma tried to talk to her even though you reassured her that you didn't care.

   after the day you guys broke up, you weren't yourself for a while. a while meaning 3 months, until you finally started to cheer up with the help of her, nagisa, isogai, and kayano. it felt nice to have the old ( y/n ) back, but she missed the joy in your eyes when you saw karma. now, whenever she saw you look at karma, it was filled with sadness and disgust.

   "okay guys, go back to your seats so i can go over the paper! and don't forget to put a x next to the problems you got wrong, and a check to the ones you got right." koro-sensei started while he grabbed a piece of chalk and began writing on the board. "number one—"

   even though koro-sensei was in the middle of teaching, you weren't paying attention to a word he was saying. you were too busy thinking about the fact that karma was staring at you. karma was staring at you.  you didn't know why you felt so much joy, most people would feel disgusted or uncomfortable if their ex was staring at them, and here you were, getting all worked up over it. you glanced at karma a little bit but immediately looked away when you saw that he was also looking at you.

   karma, felt embarrassed.

   he got caught staring at you not once, but twice. you probably think he's weird now, not like he'd be surprised if you already did when you guys broke up. what kind of person gets mad at their ex for not wanting to come out to some people? he was feeling anxious, and felt as if he was about to throw up. if you guys shared glances one more time, he was going to scream.

   "okay guys, that concludes today's lesson! if you guys have any questions, see me after school. but sadly, we have to attend an assembly about grades and your exams." the octopus said while we all got out of our seats and formed a line. you always hated walking up to the classroom, and down hill out of the classroom. it was a bother and you would always end up kicking a rock, which would make your feet hurt for the rest of the day.

   you stood in line next to nakamura, and gave each other smiles before continuing walking down the path. you reached your arm out to tap her shoulder so you could say something, but someone pulled you by your hand into the bushes and hid you away from everyone. "who the hell are you—KARMA??" you questioned while your eyes widened. "shh, we're gonna get in trouble if anyone hears—" "good. i'd rather get in trouble then stay somewhere alone with you." but your comment remained unnoticed by karma when he clasped his hand over your mouth to keep you quiet.

   you feigned a angry face, but in the inside, you're heart was beating so fast and you felt joy. you felt happy to be somewhere with him, to have his touch, and it made you feel sick. karma unclasped his hand on your mouth when he heard no more footsteps and you hit his head harder than you intended while scolding him. "what the hell do you want?? first, we break up, and now, you want to drag me into a bush while we have an assembly to go to??"

   "listen, i'm sorry. i'm really fucking sorry. fuck—i was so stupid when it happened and i wasn't thinking straight. i haven't been able to contact you and apologize sooner since you blocked me and i didn't talk to any of your friends after what happened, but please—"

   "karma.." you smiled. "i forgive you. i honestly wasn't thinking straight when it all happened too, i was just thinking of anything that came to mind and i meant to say shit that i didn't mean to say." you averted your eyes while pink began to rise to your cheeks. you couldn't believe you said it. you couldn't believe he  said it. you were so happy right now, you could die.

   you and karma just sat beside each other, glancing at each other shyly. what the hell were you guys supposed to do now? you both apologized and figured out you guys didn't hate each other, so what now? "do you wanna go somewhere later?" karma mumbled quietly while facing away from you. "huh? i couldn't hear you—" "DO YOU WANNA GO SOMEWHERE LATER?"

   "damn, no need to yell." you chuckled. "but sure, i'l go somewhere with you. just not now tho because a CERTAIN SOMEONE  made me skip an assembly." karma playfully rolled his eyes as you punched his shoulder slightly.

   "you know my head still hurts from your punch, right?"

   "really?? that's crazy."
