The whole harbour was a-buzz with life as the rite of descension grew ever closer, incense being bought, perfumes of silk flowers and mora shaped pastries.
I was moving around some stock boxes of Ningguang's stall she had set up, a box full of pastries and baked goods that started to make me drool, adepti don't need to eat food but when it's this good who can resist the temptations of a cinnamon bun?
"Make sure to put that crate near the front ok?" Ningguang shouted at over me as she decorated the stall for the occasion. "Got it, its this one and then we're done, right?" I dropped the crate with a 'thunk' before wiping my hands and joined Ningguang outside, "Yep, then we can go get something to eat afterwards if you like" She said after gracefully hopping down from the roof when she was done placing the steamers and bunting.
"I'm thinking...third round knockout?" I asked while making our way down the the southern warf. "Sure" she gave a click of her tounge and went off ahead of me.
We both sat down and a waitress came over and asked us what we would like; "I'll have the bamboo shoot soup and some orange and peach juice please" Ningguang requested putting down the menu, "And you?" The waitress asked turning to look at me after scribbling down the previous order. "I'll have the F/F and water please, could I also get a dessert of almond tofu as well?" I passed her the menu after she wrote down my order. "They'll be out shortly, enjoy your meal!" She walked back into the building.
"It's certainly warm" Ningguang mentioned looking off into the distance with her hand giving shade to her eyes.
"Good thing we're eating inside then ehe" I mention, busy playing with the hem of my shirt.
=================================
We payed for our food and went off.
"I have to go run some errands, see you tomorrow Y/N!" Ningguang breaks into a sprint heading for some houses, most likely picking up some shopping or cleaning around the house, she worked so hard that I knew for a fact that later on, she's gonna be on successful biatch.
It was mid afternoon as I wondered what to do now that Ningguang had left. I decided to pay a certain yaksha im close with a visit at Wangshu Inn, most likely gifting some homemade almond tofu as a 'peace offering' just on the occasion that Xiao wasn't in a good mood, he rarely is anyways so-.
I ran through Dihua Marsh and walked up to the Inn, I say a quick greeting to Verr Goldet and her cat before I run up the stairs to greet the Yaksha.
As usual, he was no where to be seen.
Only to regular mortals that is.
"Hey Xiao" I greeted as I set the plate down in the floor and as expected in a smoke or green and black, the byproduct of his karmic debt, the Yaksha himself appeared.
(This took me months and its only 500 words I crawled out of the pits of hell to write this after it staying in my drafts for so long-, anyway school is breaking up for summer soon so hopefully I'll write more)
Sorry about being inactive I've just been....bleh
