"You said you'd be home tomorrow." Tubbo said tiredly, rubbing one of his eyes. One of his hands was holding his cellphone.
"I know, but the business trip is taking longer than expected. I've tried to get out of it, but I can't afford the bus ride on my own anyway. Just one more day." Ranboo promised his soulmate.
"You promise you'll be be here after tomorrow?" Tubbo cleared his throat, his voice was raspy from crying.
"Yes, after tomorrow. Just one more day, then we're free." Ranboo's voice displayed both terror and relief.
"Sweet...I've been thinking about it." Tubbo wiped his nose in his pillow as he laid on his bed. It didn't really matter, the whole apartment was a huge dumpster.
"What about?" Ranboo hesitated.
"Well...the original plan, I don't think I can do it." Tubbo confessed.
"W...what part?"
"It's just...it's going to be so painful if i mess up, and what if I chicken out after I shoot you?" Tubbo's voice trembled.
"Oh...do you still want to...do it?" Ranboo tried not to cry, incase his boss was listening in.
"Yeah, of course Just... differently." Tubbo sat up in his bed and moved some garbage out of the way so he could stretch.
"Alright, what do you have in mind? I'm all ears." Ranboo spoke as if they were planning a wedding, not a funeral.
"I'm thinking... Morphine overdose. We'll just slowly slip into unconsciousness." Tubbo sounded like he had been thinking about that idea all day.
"Sounds nice, but where would we get that so soon?" Ranboo questioned.
"I know a guy...might of already contacted him. He's down, doesn't know what we're doing. He can have it here tomorrow morning." Tubbo had prepared for Ranboo to say yes.
"Okay...yeah, that sounds a lot more easy. I can't wait... Everything's going to be so much better in in our golden castle in the sky."
Tubbo smiled and laughed uncomfortably to cope. "Boo...are you sure you can't get here tonight? I really just want to be with you."
"I can't, I told you. Just one more day. I promise we can spend as much time together as you want. Before we move on." Ranboo was clearly confident that there was an afterlife, one that promised small fortunes and nothing but happiness.
"Okay, can't wait to see you. I'm gonna go have a snack. Call me before you leave tomorrow, okay?" Tubbo wanted to be prepared before Ranboo showed up.
"Will do, see you tomorrow, bee."
"See you tomorrow, boo." Tubbo hung up and put his phone down. He stood up and made his way through the sea of filth to get to the kitchen cabinets. In them he found a box of stale crackers, and even the crackers felt like a blessing.

"You're in a hurry to leave." Ranboo's best friend teased as he got his bag out of the overhead compartment.
"Psh, nah..." Ranboo yanked down his small briefcase. He never packed much, material things lost all meaning to him at this stage of his depression. "Just excited to see the love of my life. We can't all be lonely like you, Techno."
Technoblade rolled his eyes. "I don't get the point of love, but I'm proud of you. Love isn't for the weak, I'll give you that." Techno pulled his wallet out of his pocket and handed Ranboo some cash. "Heard you talking on the phone with him last night. You sounded upset. Go buy yourself a bottle of wine, all problems can be solved over a bottle of wine." Techno hopped off the bus before Ranboo could give back the money.
