A long time ago, there was a Princess. She was as beautiful and as innocent as the fairy tales described. She had a troubling life growing up without her mother, but she kept the sweet Queen alive through memory.

Her father, the King, took her death the hardest. While many royals arrange their marriages for money, power, or success. Her parents were lucky, they had what many seek for lifetimes, true love.

While most fairy tales result in happy endings, the Princess's father was not so fortunate. The Queen had passed when their daughter was only at the young age of 10, due to an extreme illness that nearly swept the kingdom. He continued to rule, but he was a changed man.

Luckily for the Princess, he did not push her away, instead, he embraced the last thing his wife had given him, their daughter. He vowed to protect her at any cost, including his own life.

When 5 years had passed, at the ripe age of 15, the Princess had lost her father and her entire kingdom in a matter of days. After many secret meetings and rumors flying around the castle, a neighboring kingdom had come to a decision to form a brutal takeover.

Although the Princess was not well versed in the kingdom's affairs, she knew that war was coming.

And that it did. War had come and there was no time for preparation, there was no time to escape. The tyrant had his dark knights slaughter the king's soldiers, the townsfolk, then the King himself.

After witnessing her father's brutal assassination, her attempt at escaping the dark knights ultimately fails, sentencing her to a night in the dungeon and faced with her execution the next morning.

With the help of a maid, a maid she had befriended during her time as Princess. They are able to escape the jails undetected, but not before the Princess could deliver her message.

With a solid rock, she carved letters into the wall at the darkest part of the dungeon.

"YOU WILL GET NOTHING LESS THAN A FATE WORSE THAN DEATH."
