THE READER IS A FEMALE!
IMAGINE HENRY PROPOSING TO YOU.
The streets of Storybrooke were quiet, and it was odd - on this time of the day, streets usually had several people walking around, and now... it was awfully quiet. But paying no more attention to it, you headed to Granny's, you didn't want to be late from a lunch date with your boyfriend.
When you entered Granny's and saw all your friends and family sitting around the cafe and Henry standing beside the bar counter with a suit on, you were baffled. Why did everyone come to lunch at the same time, and why Henry had a suit on? As you approached him with your mouth slightly open to ask him about it, he took your hands in his own, making you swallow back your question.
"Y/N, I've been the happiest man from the day I met you. I have had many adventures - but none of them has been as great as the adventure I have walked with you. You have made me the happiest man - and you could make me even happier. That's why I'm going to ask you something." he spoke with a voice that was dripping with excitement and love.
"Henry, what are you...?" you breathed as Henry slowly knelt down in front of you, grinning up at you as he dug up a little black box from his pocket and presented you with the most glorious ring you had ever seen. It wasn't the most dazzling or expensive one - but it was just like what your and Henry's relationship had looked like all these years, and it exceeded everything you'd ever wish for.
His lips moved, but you didn't hear it. But you knew what he said, he wanted to marry you. And as it finally fully hit you, you dropped down to your own knees and threw yourself in his arms, whispering with tears in your eyes, "yes, yes, yes, I will marry you."
As you stood up and had kissed, everyone in the cafe started hooraying and hugs and congratulation wishes were coming from every direction for both of you.
"Congratulations, child." Granny hugged you with tears in her eyes, when she finally could squeeze in to congratulate you. "I remember when you were only little kids, coming here every day after school for a cup of hot cocoa... and now look at you, all grown up. And by the way, I'm taking care of the catering at the wedding, no buts."
You giggled and nodded at Granny in gratitude. "That would be great, thank you."
You smiled to yourself as Henry was taking congratulation wishes and hugs from all the people in Storybrooke, and examined your ring in awe. It felt like a dream.
Being Y/N Mills was something you had waited for so long - but didn't expect it to happen so soon. Storybrooke had magic within it - and it was proven once again. The magic came from the people with good hearts, and now you truly could call Storybrooke as your home.
