"Morning, Ivy," you greeted the woman as she passed your table.
"Good morning," Ivy responded pleasantly, giving you a smile. "Lunch together today?"
She'd invited you to join her for lunch every day that week when you first started working together and you had agreed with no hesitation, which made Ivy's heart flutter.
You were really the only one she had wanted to tell the truth - how she had cursed you all to live in a lie. When Ivy had been Drizella, she didn't think about falling in love with you, her own maid, in Hyperion Heights. Now you were a secretary living in a shabby studio apartment, and Ivy regretted not making your home a little grander. But at least she was able to take you to luxurious lunches, let you choose whatever you wanted to eat. Ivy hadn't dared to confess her feelings for you, you probably thought of Ivy as just a good friend.
She fantasised a little about being able to have lunch with you and kiss you, make you blush. See if you have feelings for her, too. Or maybe even breaking the curse just for you - but she had been so cruel to you when you were in Enchanted Forest. She had been entitled, not caring about your feelings. If she had tried to treat you as a human, get to know you, she would have found herself wanting more than just you being her maid.
Maybe she wouldn't have cast the Dark Curse. If she had fallen for you as hard as she had right now, her love for you would have outweighed her will to trick Regina to cast the curse. She wondered what it would be like, having a real relationship with someone who loved her, Prince Gregor was never someone she could feel that way towards.
The lunch hour came faster than she thought and Ivy exited her office, seeing you already dressed up. The two of you then went to have lunch together, and Ivy hoped that someday lunches like those would turn into dates.
