Before Sunrise (Julian x Y/N)

The Rowdy Raven sure was crowded tonight. Some of the guests there were either blackout drunk or their night was just to begin. There was one guest who was just about to leave. Demon slayer Julian Devorak, a tall lanky man with pale skin, auburn red hair, and grey eyes (one being covered by an eyepatch). He had just came back from a mission which involved saving a couple of rookie demon slayers from a two-headed demon. His combat style was called Plague Encounter. There were a total of three different forms to the style.

The first form was called Rodent's Venom. Demons would feel like rats were bitting and mauling them before dying.

The second form was called Raven's Call. Demon's would seem to hear two warning caw's before their vision became impaired. This is a temporary effect that is more effective toward weaker demons.

The last form was called Black Death. This form slowly ate away at the demon, giving them an experience of pain in the muscles along with fatigue.

After having a few pints, Julian decided to end the night as he was starting to feel the alcohol settle in. Exiting the bar, he walked down the foggy night streets of Vesuvia. The streets were silent, the only noise being that of the running water from the river.

Becoming closer to his house, he heard a loud bang coming from an alleyway. Knowing this place, maybe a cat had knocked over the trash cans.

Peering into the alleyway, he saw a person laying on top of the garbage bins, seemingly unresponsive. Was this person attacked by a demon? There hadn't been that many demon reports in this area. In fact, demon appearances were rare in the South End. It was pretty seclusive and hushed from the main parts of Vesuvia.

Drawing his sword-a red blade with grey highlights-he slowly walked into the alley, searching around the area to make sure no lingering demon got the jump on him. Once he got closer, he gently nudged the person with his boot.

"Hey there... you uh.. you alright...?" Julian muttered awkwardly.

The person rolled over, their heterochromia-two cyan pupils, the right sclera being black-eyes meeting with Julian's. Though it was dark, Julian could make out their characteristics. Short blue and black hair, pale skin, and pointy ears along with a variety of different ear piercings. This person wasn't a human, but a demon!

Catching him off guard, Julian had clumsily swung his sword at the demon. Though injured, the demon managed to jump back as Julian's sword made contact with the garbage bins, slicing them in half.

"Wait, Wait!" The demon pleaded, putting their hands up. "I won't hurt you! I... I swear!"

"How do I know you're not lying?!" Julian yelled.

"I'm basically an outcast now... I was apart of Lucio's clan, though... I wasn't really the strongest."

Lucio was a very strong demon. He's rarely seen as he controls most of the strongest demons in Vesuvia. Some say he's a goat with one missing arm. Its a rumor that rules the demons with a gold arm.

"I messed up and disobey one of his orders. I was supposed to be killed by sunrise but I escaped before they could! Please help me... I won't make it a day. I'll surely be killed!"

Julian kept the sword pointed at the demon. He was now weighing out his options. If he was caught harboring a demon, he'd be executed indefinitely. But maybe this outcast of a demon could be of use to him. Julian was always the risk taker type.

"Mm.. fine. But any funny business and you'll know what true pain feels like. Do you understand?"

The demon smiled, nodding happily.

"Thank you! Thank you!"

Standing up, the demon walked over to Julian who instinctively took a step back.

"I'm y/n," they spoke, holding out their hand. Julian looked at suspiciously before lowering his sword, hesitantly grabbing their hand, shaking it.

"Julian."

This small moment was ruined when they heard angry chattering coming from the neighbor's houses.

"Looks like we were a bit too loud. Let's hurry before they see us standing back here," spoke Julian who placed his sword back into his holster. The two ran down the stone path, disappearing into the foggy night.
