Forgiveness To Be Earned

Caleb went inside the House. To his suprise, no one else made the journey inside. He figured he had all the loot he wanted. He began to search through the boxes and crates. He manages to find a pretty decent arsenal of weapons, including a spear with an iron end, a pouch of kunai, and a good amount of food. He couldn't find any guns or ammo, so it seemed those items may have been exclusive to the feast. But he decided to check some chests in a different section of the cornicopia.
He made it to the very back  and began going through all of the boxes. But before he knew it, he felt the cold touch of a steel blade across his neck.
He knew where he felt this before.
And he knew whose voice it was too.
"Give me ONE good reason not to slit your throat right now." Said Dallas from behind him.
     Caleb remained silent.
"Drop your weapons. ALL of them." Said another voice from behind.
Lexie stood behind Dallas and walked around to in front of Caleb.
Caleb dropped his weapons, seeing as a fight would not end well. Dallas had managed to kill him while he was wounded, and even though they were all at full strength again, a one on two battle would not end well.
Lexie took the spear, and gave Dallas the kunai. Dallas gave the food to Lexie and passed some to another person behind them.
"How does it feel to have everything taken from you in an instant?" Said Kelsey, who was next to Dallas. Kevin also stood next to her.
Dallas grabbed Caleb and pushed him to the wall of the cornucopia, and knife in his hand.
"She asked a question." Said Dallas.
"Look. I messed up ok?" Said Caleb. "I was more concerned of losing then sticking up for my friends. I figured I was going to die, so when Keara came to me and decided to hatch a plan with me, I took my chance. Can you blame me?"
"This place drove me mad too, Caleb." Dallas said. "But after what you did, I don't know how much I can trust you near me again. I never thought that even in your darkest moment you would do what you did, especially to Lexie."
"Look, I didn't torture her. Keara wanted to. I asked her not to, but she was 'determined to make the chance of success as high as possible', and that keeping her untouched would just let her easily escape. So don't blame ME for that."
"But you still LET it happen." Lexie replied. "I asked you several times to help me, but you just walked away. You could've done something Caleb!"
"You know what guys?" Kevin said. "Let's just go. This isn't gonna help."
The group agreed, and left. Lexie and Dallas were the last to leave.
     "Lexie?" Caleb said.
Lexie turned back. "I'm sorry, but if you want our trust back, you'll have to earn it."
Lexie left. And Dallas stood in the mouth of the cave, as the gentile wind blew his hood against his face.
     "Dallas?" Caleb said.
Dallas slowly turned his head toward him. His hood shadowed all his face except his mouth. His eyes seemed to glow in the darkness.
"After all we had to go through, I didn't think you would do what you did to me for any reason. We offered you friendship, and you spat in our face. This isn't anyone's punishment but yours."
Dallas then gave him the smile just like he gave Caleb before killing him.
"I guess it's always kill or be killed for you, huh?"
With that Dallas left. The group went to a familiar place in the forest, but Dallas went a seperate direction.
He had someone ELSE to say hi to.
