Daisy slowly continued her way down the hall, her breaths becoming more unstable with every step she took. The smell of blood and flesh got stronger and stronger. It was extremely nauseating. Daisy stopped herself for a second, cupping her nose with her hands, trying to block out the smell as best as she could. She felt like throwing up. She looked down. Something wasn't right.

One last cry came from the cat. Daisy made her way into the semi-dark room, stumbling a little. She looked up from the ground... there was someone. Someone familiar.
No...
It couldn't be...
It was her father.
Daisy squeezed her arms. She felt sick to her stomach. She felt terrified. She shook, she wasn't sure if any of this was real. She hoped not. Daisy looked at the scene in front of her. The cat... it... looked familiar. It looked just like her cat, Cosmo. There was a collar around the cat's neck. She barely managed to read the tag.
...it was cosmo. The cat she loved and cared for. The cat that she would visit every day behind the candy store.

Dexter's back was turned, he was unable to hear his terrified daughter approach. He continuously stabbed the cat, more blood being splattered on him and the floor. It didn't matter. He would just clean it up later. Right as he was about to stab the bloodied cat once more, he heard a trembling voice.
"...d-dad...?"
...Shit.
Dexter froze for a second. He panicked. His head and body snapped towards Daisy's direction. She looked terrified. He swiftly stood up, hiding the knife behind his back. Ah, it's not like it mattered anymore. He was already quite literally caught red handed. Daisy took a step back. She trembled. Dexter tried to find the words to say.
"D...Daisy-? What are you doing here-? I...I thought you had fallen asleep by now!" Dexter asked, panic lacing his voice. His voice was uneasy. It was taking everything in him to not break down.

Daisy tensed up, taking a swift breath. "why...? WHY WOULD YOU DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS?! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" Daisy yelled. Tears were streaming down her face. She stumbled. She felt like she was going to pass out. She felt sick.
How could he?
