no matter how he thought about it, he hated  her. the two rarely interacted, and on the rare occasion they did, takemichi would only start a (verbal) fight with her.

he envied  her, she was talented, smart, pretty. words that takemichi had never heard when directed towards himself.

he was jealous  of her, she was always in the spotlight. he was always on the receiving end of the shit talking. no one was interested in him, only his sister.

his parents would bombard him with questions when he would come home late, turning a blind eye to their 'perfect' daughter. he never bothered to learn more about the girl or better himself.

he would instead rant to anyone who would listen that his sister was an ass, he would spread rumors about her. he truly despised  her, the 'perfect' girl wasn't so perfect when it was rumored she cheated on tests or slept with teachers.

and even though he hated the girl, he couldn't help it. when tears streamed down his face. his sister, the sister he despised, had died. he thought that if she died he would be happy.

however, he was anything but happy. looking back, she were always kind to him. even after the two fought she would always apologize first, she offered to tutored him, she never showed any resentment towards him even though he had treated her like shit.

so, when given the chance, he would save her. he would apologize first, he would change himself for both [name] and hina. he needed to save her this time.
