"I Don't Like It Either"

Simon's POV

"Yeah, just give me a minute," I called down from my room, hearing a swift reply as I finish pulling a gray hoodie on. I turned to see my boyfriend, Jake, sitting down on the bed. "Do you need anything before I leave?"

I watch as he looks up at me for a few seconds, his lips slightly parting before shaking his head, "No, that's okay."

"Alright," I state before walking out of the room.

<Time Skip, later that night>

Samuel and I ran through the kitchen, dripping water everywhere from the sudden rain. Once inside we stared at each other before breaking down in laughter.

"Oh my God," I said in between breathes.

Samuel was about to respond when we heard the sound of footsteps sounding throughout the house, before slowly making their way down the stairs.

"Simon?" The voice questioned, before revealing Jake in the doorway. He looked between the two of us, a puddle of water forming under us, before turning to the oven clock.

2:42 a.m.

"Oh," Samuel started, "I hadn't even noticed the time. Did we wake you?"

"No, I was waiting for Simon to come home," Jake reassured.

An awkward silence filled around us, and the fact that I was standing in a puddle suddenly gave me an idea. "Wellll," I trailed on, "since it's late Samuel might as well just stay the night. Come on," I finished and motioned towards the stairs.

"Oh," was all Jake got out before we left. He followed closely behind as I handed Samuel extra clothes. He watched the other shut the bathroom door before turning to me. I was in the process of ripping the hoodie from myself.

When the feeling of his eyes started to freak me out I decided to speak up, "What's up?"

"I was just wondering why you were out so late," he admitted, quickly glancing away as I changed my shirt.

"I was just out with friends. Nothing important."

"O--okay," he stuttered slightly.

"Well goodnight," I called out as I grabbed a pillow, wanting to leave the conversation as fast as possible.

"You're leaving?" He looked up at me and moved as I touched the door handle.

"Yeah? I'm gonna go hangout with Samuel. I don't want him to be alone."

"I don't want to be alone," Jake whispered on my way out.

<The next morning>

"Here you go," I sang out as I handed Samuel a plate of eggs, before grabbing my own and sitting down.

"Thanks my love," he joked.

Just then Jake walked into the kitchen and turned towards the stove, "You ate all of it?"

I glanced at him before looking away, "Yeah, Samuel was hungry."

"Oh."

I started to talk to the male beside me as Jake took out ingredients to make himself more food.

"Woah," Samuel said out of the blue, causing a hum of confusion to escape me.

"What is it?" Jake quietly asked.
